I hate the way it's MOSTLY linear... you keep getting to intersections, and you KNOW that one way is a dead end with stuff in it and the other is the way to go, but I ALWAYS end up going the right way, which means I have to go back on myself to pick the stuff up, and then go back on myself again to set off again... until the next intersection...

The farther you go in the game the less linear it is... in particular there are many choices to make that you can't go back on, with one "good" choice and one "bad" choice, and other times when the paths are different but it's not clear which is best.

I'll have mine up as soon as I can figure out how to take screenshots... I must be configuring something wrong (my computer doesn't have an END or PrntScrn button) because I just can't get it to work.

Are there instructions for this anywhere? The controls are annoying me to the extent that I feel I need some.

shteev - try the following link

http://www.gods-country.de/

Then select 'The games' from the side menu, then select chaos engine and there will be a link to the manual at the top of the page.

Are those smart bomb weapons any use at all, or should I just waste them so I can stand still and shoot things?

Ooh, playing tips and everything, nice one! You wouldnt happen to have bigger versions of those maps stashed anywhere, would you?
