Anyone managed to finish Benefactor? It's a great game, but now I'm totally stuck. It's the fourth level of the castle world, with the caption 'Open Sesame', there's a locked door and a key that's out of reach.

Does anyone know how to beat this level, or know about a walkthrough? I've searched for a walkthrough, but no luck. At least I've found the level codes, so I could just skip to the next one. Also, there seems to be secret areas in some levels, that you can see but not reach, is it possible to reach these places?

I've found a solution in some old (11-1994) polish mag called [Secret Service], but here's a problem.

The "worlds" are named:

Underworld
Tombs Of Egypt
The Treetop Rescue
Stones And Bones
Merry Winterland
Techno Treat
To Hell With Minniat

...each having about 1-9 levels...

So which exactly is yours?

I wish I could help with games, but no one ever seems to want help with any of the games I played.

Where's the "Stuck in Menace" thread? Very Happy

Alrighty that's more like it, now this is what i've found...

Switch the "lever" that's on top - far left, take the "axe" and get it between the "roast" and the "arrow".
Enter the door next to two "crosses", take the "key" from the bottom and return to the "lever" (next to the "arrow").
Fall down, free the guy, wait and exit.
Enter the door next to "two crosses", brake the "wall" under the "three flags".
Enter, take the "key", open "door" on the bottom, enter, take the "key", free the guy and go to the exit.

...that's almost the exactly what it says in my mag... translating something that you don't know exactly what it is (never played Benefactor very long - always wanted, many times tried...), is a bit hard...

Thank you so much, that was just what I needed Very Happy Very Happy

It was the "brake the wall" part that I couldn't figure out. There was no way of knowing you could break that wall; there's a small crack if you look closely, but there's cracks all over the place. Benefactor is a great game, it's been very enjoyable up to this, and playing it in WinUAE with the savestate possibility removes the frustration of restarting levels from scratch and entering level codes, but this "puzzle" was just stupid.

Thanks again!
