Hello folks!

I am 29 years old old skool Amiga user from Finland. I was pretty active in the Amiga demo scene from 1988 to 2000 (and few years on C64 before that). Nowadays I prefer myself retired from that business but I still have a very special place in my heart for demos and who knows... Maybe I make a full comeback some day. That, however, would require some new members, mainly Amiga coders, for my demo group, Scoopex.

Talking about Scoopex, maybe some you remember us from demos like Mental Hangover, Pha Q, Alien, Iso, Cyberia, My Kingdom, Alien 2 and 40k intros like Zero Gravity 1-3, Superautodrome 1-2, System Crime and 1000%. World of Wodka must be the most talked about demo in scene. Funnily enough, that demo got NEVER released! Our most famous members must have been Ranger, Slayer, Reward, Uno, Uncle Tom, TMB, Antibyte, Boogeyman, Zoom, Made, Acryl, Noogman, NHP & BKH, Muffler... Old skool guys will surely know these names. What I did in Scoopex was mostly mail trading and doing Infestation demopacks back in the good old days. Later I spreaded our stuff to web and was some sort of PR angent or something. Smile

Few words about games and my machines: ofcourse I have been playing a lot of them during all these years. Dungeon Master and Chaos Strikes Back are my all time favourites. I own A1200/060 and A4000T/060+PPC and both have 2 gigs of WHDLoad installed games (+all the most important demo releases aswell). Sadly my A4000T is not working at the moment and also my PPC board, which has been at DCE for repairing for over TWO YEARS, is broken. Will I ever get it back? Crying or Very sad That has been a major blow for my Amiga activies. I can't imagine myself using Amiga without decent graphics board.

Anyway, I am really waiting for and excited about OS4. I just need to get my A4000T and Cyberstorm PPC board fixed when it's out. I hope that release of OS4 will also mean a begining of a new area of my Amiga activies and for Amiga in general!

Last words: I AM Amiga fanatic. YES. Cool

My Amigas' full specs:

A1200:
--------
* Blizzard 1260 - 68060/50Mhz
* 2mb chip ram + 32mb fast ram
* Delfina Flipper soundcard (Not installed at the moment)
* 10gb 2.5" Hitachi Hard Drive
* Q-Drive CD-Rom Drive
* Sultan PCMCIA ethernet board
* Amiga 1438SS 14" monitor
* Justler multimedia speakers

A4000T (in orginal Escom tower): (broken Crying or Very sad )
---------------------------------------
* Cyberstorm PPC 68060/50Mhz + PPC604e/233Mhz (broken Crying or Very sad )
* CyberVision PPC
* CyberVision 64/3D
* X-Surf ethernet board
* 2mb chip ram + 144mb fast ram
* 120gb Seagate Hard Drive (Not installed right now)
* Sony DVD-Rom Drive
* LG CD-RW Drive
* Nokia MicroEmission ValueGraph 417TV Monitor

External information: I bet that this A4000T was the LAST brand new machine in the world when I bought it from Sweden!!

Both machines have OS3.9 installed with the lastest boingbag-updates.

Welcome old timer Lemon 64/Amiga dude. Very Happy

What a bummer about that monster A4000 Tower! I really hope that you will be able to fix is some day? Sad

I surely remember some of those demos, especially Mental Hangover and Scoopex megademo which are timeless classics to me!

Many many thanks to everybody. I know that I'll enjoy my stay here because I already have for quite some months. Wink

I've been just too lazy to write anything about myself sooner.

But better later than never, right? Smile

Great that someone likes it... The management wasn't too happy about it when it got released. It wasn't "up to group's standarts" as they said... Laughing

I remember that Jazz was responsible for packing routines... remember the sign "jazzunpacking..." while waiting for next song. I liked it, (altough I donīt like techno) because it was very good sampled and it sounded very well in my heavy duty stereo system. Cool

And that VU-meter was very nice.
