What are the top 5 things that stick in your mind most about your gaming lives so far?
It can be anything at all but should be things that are the reason you are still playing to this day.

Mine are:

1. Getting my Amiga500
2. Witnessing SOTB for the first time (from a C64 to that WOW)
3. Experiencing the freedom of 3D (oo contraversial!) e.g
Tomb Raider, especially the swimming parts.
4. Seeing Aeris die in Final fantasy 7 (a game character dying?)
5. Being stuck in Cadaver for years I now know it was a
defective copy judgement on me I suppose.

top 5. OK

1. Getting my Amiga as a Christmas present, I didn’t sleep much that Christmas. O to be a child again Smile

2. Double Dragon (arcade) me and a good friend spent weeks (and many many 10p's) working our way to the final fight, we had laughed and cried, we were like brothers, a team. In battle we fought as one, but then. The girl is free and we have to fight....each other, everything is forgotten and a frantic fight breaks out. I don’t remember who won (so I guess it wasn’t me). It taught me a lesson for life.

3. Final Fantasy 7 intro. The way it seamlessly moves form intro into the game, awesome.

4. Frontier. Elite was fantastic, but Frontier. Wow. It huge. Amazing game.

5. Doom. I was still hanging onto my Amiga games, but my mate had a pc with doom on it, I'd never seen a 3d FPS before and the atmosphere was superb. Scariest game I'd played until Resi evil and then Silent hill.

[Look no midwinter Smile]

1. I got my own c64 for and I stayed up all night playing and checking which game is coming next and just wanting to see which one is there! Smile

2. Seeing the difference between the c64 and the Amiga and going nuts when I bought my own! Very Happy

3. Those great moments of thought, when you get stuck in a real big rpg (Legends of BlackSilver) and just thinking how the ... am I getting out of this mess!

4. Talking and sharing these moments with my big brother (after he moved away to another city, he came back to our hometown again and lived just down the street and I could visit him dayly!)

5. Being able to enter the gaming life and forget my own for the moment!

4. The absolutely great sequel Jagged Alliance 2
5. The original Soccer from Andrew Spencer on the C64

But there are a whole lot more, my whole life has been built up on games, so I could continue typing here eternally.

Most of my top 5 game moments aren't really strictly in-game moments at all.....

1. Finally managing to copy my friend's original Xenon II. Xcopy normal track 0, head 0 & tracks 1-79 heads 0 & 1. Synchroexpress copy track 0/head 1 (the protected bit). If you Synchro-copied all it would not work, and likewise you couldn't do a standard copy on the protected head of the track. I was in love with this game at the time and was desperate to get it, but had no money.

2. Reaching Level II of Batman The Moive. This was the first Amiga game I played, Level I was OKish platformer - level II blew me away - I had read NO reviews and knew nothing of what to expect.

3. Getting 512k RAM expansion & 2nd disk drive, so I had 1 meg and could play more games Smile And without swapping (or so much of it).

4. Giving some crappy looking 2-player miscellaneous Biplane game that I found on a coverdisk a try. This turned out to be my fave game ever - Biplane Duel (I don't mention this game in every post I write - honest !) Razz

5. Getting null-modem cable. Makes many many more top-game moments.

4). Writing my own SWOSEditor long before SWOSED surfaced (1995 I started writing it) Very Happy
5). WinUAE

1) Playing Blue Max on C64 for the first time in computer class when I was little, realizing I *had* to get one these babies too (although I got a Commodore VIC-20 first..)

2) Playing 1942 and Rastan Saga till my arms couldn't move on vacation in Italy. I had to wear wrist support after that holiday.

3) Playing Ultimate Tron II on my C64, four playes cramped over the keyboard in 1992

4) Locking myself up in my appartment for 30 days (no kidding) and completing Final Fantasy VII

5) On-going Sensible Soccer tournament with my little brother from 1992 - 2004 (keeping score of all the matches)

2. When i finally finished Final Fantasy VII, it was one of the best feelings i have ever had.

That was when I was absolutely stoned and played the ice cap zone in Sonic 3 for the first time.(just bought the MD before that with the game, same day)
That was a long time ago, I don't use that shit anymore.
But shitloads of alcohol instead.
Great experience, the speed and music of that stage are awesome.
