Some people thought it wasn't possible! Some people didn't believe it was true, but it is true and possible and happening right now! The Lemon Amiga Games Competition returns for a second season and what better way to start with a story about a coutry. Well, actually it's not so much a story as a game and it isn't really about it a country, it's about a creature that inhabits said country, but for what it's worth prepare to read up on the New Zealand Story.

Fun Facts You May Not Have Known About New Zealand:
  • Everyone who lives in New Zealand smells really, really weird.
  • Lots of famous and good films were filmed in New Zealand, but if they'd been filmed somewhere else they probably would have been a bit better.
  • New Zealand was officially voted the "Country Most Likely to Suddenly Sink To The Bottom of The Ocean For No Apparent Reason" in a recent Dolly Magazine poll.
  • The original country of Zealand was entirely made of cheese but was destroyed by an exceptionally large mouse.
  • Most New Zealanders secretly hope to remake their home the glorious dairy dreamland it once was.
  • New Zealand actually used to have the same flag as Australia, but one of the stars fell off and they were forced to adopt this new version to save face.
  • A recent scientific study proved a direct corellation between a persons distance from New Zealand and the chance of them being crushed by an elephant.

To submit a fact to this knowledge base, feel free to PM me, so you can share your knowledge with the world.

Rules
Project-X This round of the competition starts now(25th January and will end Wednesday the 15th of February, 24:00 (midnight) GMT
Project-X Score as many points as possible.
Project-X Post screenshots of your high score in this thread, and write the score underneath. It would also be nice if you could scale them to 320 x something, but don't worry if you can't.
Project-X Don't cheat! Please, it really isn't very nice, people may think you are from New Zealand, and you may be crushed by elephants as a result.

playing NZS for score has been a whole new experience!

just a shame i made some damn stupid blunders so early on. then again, i never did like Rotora very much (too many sharp things around)

theres some funny things you can do to rack up lots of extra score pretty early on tho. - but they Chicken & Devil can also make it easy to throw away lives needlessly.

my first game score ; 220734 - normally i'd be well impressed with this, especially given that i only reached round 2-3, (and had loads of spare lives at one point) but i *know* how badly i cocked some bits up! and i am sure its gonna be far from good by the end of the competition.

still, i quite enjoyed my first game!

errrr... this was the point my lives reached Zero. 349160 on round 3-2.

however, there was no "game over" and it let me carry on ad infinium with no lives Question

i think this crack may be a bit buggy. i seem to get over-riding music more than it used to (like playing the "hurry up" tune after finishing the level.) and i drowned once, and i was sure that tiki used to float upside down when he drowned, rather than just continually flapping. ?

: edit :

damn this game is making me competitive!!

Shocked Jams - that score is obscene.

you must be gutted not have got game completion.... but i always found that last level nigh on impossible (i remember doing it only once or twice at a push) and i'd never reached it on the one credit.

oh and Wayne, i might tell you a good setup once you stop the Chelsea bashing... Razz

hehe, just kidding. I just used the quickstart-config in UAE set to `unexpanded a500`. nothing more, nothing less. hope it helps you out.
