Hello and well done on an excellent site.
Started off with an Amiga 500+ in the early 90's. Got it home and took it back to the shop and got an Amiga 500 as a lot of the games did not work.
Did a lot of postal trading with people all over the country. My postman hated me, used to have 3 or 4 jiffy bags, full of disks arriving everyday. Going to the All Formats computer fairs and buying blank disks in bulk.
Eventually got myself a modem and then started boxing to the States and getting all the latest stuff from the BBS.
Was checking my HD on my Xbox the other day and found an Amiga emulator with lots of roms. All the memories came flooding back.
Still got 2x500's, 2x600's, 3x1200's, cd-rom, lots of other hardware and about 5000+ disks in the attic. I was contemplating getting one of them down, but the wife would kill me.
So I think I will have to stick with the emulator, until she goes out for the day and I can set it up without her moaning at me. |
