How do we do this? WinUAE has a hard-drive option, but it doesn't seem to look for adf files. I can't find any tutorials for this sort of thing either (not really sure what I'd need to search for though, tbh! Sad )

If you're totally new to it, it's complicated (involves installing workbench). Took me a while the first time. Take a look a this if you're interested.
http://www.lemonamiga.com/help/tutorial_1/1.php
or better still chapters 1 & 2 on here because it's got the formatting info that isn't on Lemon for some reason.

I used both of these to refresh my memory recently.

However, maybe someone could make a hardfile for you to use. Then all you do is load that using 'add hardfile'. I've never done one for someone else before, not 100% sure of the best way. But if no one else comes to the rescue I'll see about knocking one up later tonight.

Now, I've been up all night again so I could do with some shut eye. Later.

I spent a bit of time last night trying to put a hardfile together but didn't have much luck in actually getting it to work so I hope someone here can be more useful than me.

EDIT: Check here - this should do the job for you (it does need KS3+ to run though).

Yeah - use that link with A1200 settings. Just tested it and all works fine. Much quicker.

And comforting enough that's exactly how I was planning to do it. It's just a renamed system drive, installed from adf. I was wondering how you go about making it boot from the start? Does it involve using the WBstartup folder? If there's a tutorial anywhere I'd appreciate a link.

Thanks for that, guys, it works fine. Love the game, too, but the occasional random slow-down is a little annoying, as is forgetting that not all bonuses are good... Rolling Eyes

Having said that, it's an excellent game to play for a few minutes, if only there was a way you could just double-c lick an icon and instantly play (or use a savestate so you don't have to load it every time!)

Not bad for the first day, but I'm still a little off of my Roadkill score. Some more practice next week, methinks

If anyone beats the highest roadkill score then I'll buy them them the whole of Amiga inc.

And since you mentioned savestates, a reminder to everyone - No Continues allowed. Play from the start everytime. And obviously no savestates either.

I guess you could always edit the startup-sequence and just bung the game at the end of it so it loads automatically.
