It's fun, but not that addictive for me. I like the intro more than anything.
I'm also being distracted by Lemon64 playing this years release of Berzerk Redux. Now that's addictive. _________________

What's berzerk redux? I sense this is a question that is going to cost a lot of time, but also that I will give that time gladly... _________________ That most rare of noble beasts, the Land Seahorse! |

I don't know. I thought I'd made it up, but then my brain may just be very good at stealing without me realising...

I'm not very good. At either game. And I've only just recently had a chance to play them. This isn't looking good.
Wizkid:

Warzone:

Levels 6 and 7 are way easier than the levels 4 and 5. |

I tried all the options with WHD version, i tried removing my expansion card and running bare bones, i made the disk version from the ADF's and it "GURU's" on me, again tried removing expansion, CF card, origininal and ECS chipsets, disable caches, making another disk in case the one i was using was faulty...... nothing works! It just dont like my Amiga... *sigh*
BUGGA! Was wanting to play it because i never played this one, and looks a bit of fun! Oh wells, maybe i will post a score from emulation. Unfortunately my A500 is not at this house. I am sure it would run on that ol' work horse no problem!!
Anyways, will fire up wizkid, maybe get some scores out of me later in the comp, but dont expect good scores! HAHA!
Keep going hard core everyone! |
I struggled to get it to work aswell, i was loading it at turbo spped via the floppy and it wouldnt load up, i changed it to the normal 100% speed and it was fine, good luck! _________________ Damn im scared about putting this out, but maybe i shouldnt be ashamed anymore http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.ListAll&friendID=508033569 |

HAHA! I was reading your reply and thinking "Turbo speed"?? The amiga had some kind of secret mode i didnt know about? HAHA!
Yep, i like playing these games on the real deal... for some reason emulation has just never done it for me, cant beat the real thing! Although one day that hunk of Commodore plastic and computer chips might fail and I will have to resort to emulation.... but not until then!
I just really need a new joystick... the one i have is pretty bad! Might go a joypad this time, help give me the edge in this comp! HAHA! _________________ Amiga 1200 2MB chip 7MB fast 4GB CF

Finally done.
In my opinion neither War Zone* nor Wizkid** deserve to be classified as games.
*: Inch your way forward with auto-missiles =/= gameplay
**: Wizkid is for little (psychotic) kids and only challenging because of our self-indulged low score-contest. |
