(Updated the joy move)
Maybe this is old news, but after 20+ years I've found out how to use the items.
BOMB = press and hold fire, move joy to Right Bottom diagonal.
Direction: ( \ )
Effect: kills all badguys on screen (the ones that are killable).
CLOCK = press and hold fire, move joy to Left Bottom diagonal.
Direction: ( / )
Effect: freezes badguys; they stop moving, including piranha.
Timer dont stop though.
Can only use them one time, until you pick them up again, they are not infinite.
Found this out by accident, when moving joy in game-frustration.
I did not know this until now, lol.
About the ARMIN cheat, I never did get it to work. I guess the function was accidentally overwritten with other stuff, when the game was cracked by crackers. I've never played an original copy so I don't know.
BTW. the TOSECs below has IN-GAME CLOUDS(which are missing in other cracks):
Great Giana Sisters, The (1988)(Time Warp)[cr HQC][t Skyline].zip
Great Giana Sisters, The (1988)(Time Warp)[cr Skyline][t Skyline].zip
Game manual:

If anyone is interested I've found the ActionReplay addresses for lives, weapons, time etc., although there are trainers out there, it's fun to play around witth the code. Let me know and I'll post them.

Here's what little i know about this game:
To skip levels, hold down the 'A', 'R', 'M', 'I', and 'N' keys.
On level 3 stand at the end of the row of blocks and jump up to hit an invisible block; this will warp you to level 6. _________________ Don't be waylaid by the empty rhetoric of the uninformed. |

yes I've read that the ARMIN level skip was like on the C64, holding all keys down at same time, but it never worked on my A500, there must be a way, hmm..
And there is warp blocks at several levels:
Check them out here, its the same as C64:

QUOTED FOR TRUTH.
I will never understand how anybody thinks that that hideous, plagiaristic piece of garbage is any good at all, let alone some kind of "classic". _________________ The most depressing thing in the world. |

It's a shoddy attempt at copying a classic. If The Great Giana Sisters is a good game, The Humanoid is a good movie.

It's fun, especially for those without a NES (most of the UK at the time). _________________ "The virus of hate infects the ignorant mind" - Biohazard |
