Fuckbook is annoying. just another trend like Shitter (Twitter). ok, last.fm for example was a trend as well, but at least I see many positive things there, and I'm addicted to it. Laughing

But FB and Twitter are useless for me. If someone wants to contact me, should disturb me via ICQ (a messenger like MSN), last.fm or any forum I'm registered.

In my opinion facebook, twitter, or whatever else could be very useful (and cheap, you don't have to pay for anything)things when you want to promote something, like your blog, site etc.

Anyway, I don't use facebook now, but If I had a blog I would have a profil on facebook.

The only thing I really don't like about it, is when people assume that everyone is a member and uses it. People have said in the past - "oh, check these pictures out, I'll stick on my facebook later." "I don't have an account and can't see them." "Oh, nevermind." Well thanks for caring. And recently I was buying something online and it said there were big potential discounts if you 'like us' on facebook. Just one click of the button. Except I have to sign up even though I don't want to (and will probably use a fake name anyway) just to see if I can get a better deal (probably can't due to stupid t&cs - must buy 6 penguins and live in Hull for 5% off)

Facebook - no interest. It's okay.
Thoughtless Facebook-centric people - fuck off.

I went to a gig where a friend of mine had my ticket, but she lost her phone on the way up to the gig, so I couldnt call her, she couldnt call me.

She left me a message on facebook via a friend of hers (who didnt have my number) which i picked up on my phone, and I was able to meet them and go to the gig and ensure 40 quid wasnt wasted.

I'd say that's pretty useful.

Also, my friends from university who live all around the country are rubbish at keeping in contact by phone/text, yet we can all arrange to meet up with a shared conversation on facebook - again, that's pretty useful.

It's also the only place to find out what bands are playing at my favourite pub.

I tend not to take many photos either, so it's nice when friends post photos from parties/weddings/whatever that i've been to, that way I dont have to take any photos at all!

I guess if you actually know the people you have on there, it's a good tool. Don't think of it as anything else though.

Adding people you dont actually know, posting constant updates ("OMG, on the way to the church to get married!!" - yes, i've seen that happen), irritating game invits - sure, that kind of stuff is lame, but that's their decision, you can just ignore it, I dont see why it should make anyone angry.

Few weeks ago me and my gf decided to close the Facebook accounts. Might be that someday we reopen those, but at the time it has been really nice since we dont have to check our accounts or we dont need to talk anything regarding to Facebook. Atleast im happy to this decision, and I've noticed that many of my real friends have left the Facebook also.

Past few months i did just few updates to my profile, and those were mostly some C64 links from youtube which nobody undrestand Smile and ofcourse you guys may see through me and one reason was that my gf was bit jealous about some other girls in friends list.. Rolling Eyes

worst thing what happened after I closed my account was that my ex gf called me and was worried what happened to me. Huh

but anywayz i dont miss it... facebook i mean.

I've never been a fan of Facebook or any of the other Social Network sites.I suppose they are like everything else - they've got their good and bad points.

The only thing I really hate about Facebook are the game requests and such crap. I know there's a way to stop them coming, but still - aah gimme a break!

I can't believe people constantly spend money on those crazy farming and shop games.

I spent 1/3 of my life on internet forums, so Facebook doesnt concern me as an entity. It's a so-called "social networking service" and since I use internet MAINLY to communicate it is useless for me.

I dont dislike Facebook, I use it for my own purposes, like I try doing with my whole life environment. Currently, being after failed relationship, I use it for meeting women. Being a minimalist, I have only one photo to let them know who speaks and around 50 "friends" to make my profile believable (besides, if you register an account and dont add any "friends" your account will be in huge trouble). No likes, no dislikes, no invitations to events. For me it's just a huge database of my potential future wives and as soon as Ill succeed, with or without FB help, Ill delete my account, it means nothing to me.

Zuckerberg wouldnt be pleased that Im using his site in that way.
