Just wanted to bump this thread up and say what a great job you are doing, er, Mr. Pd. The interviews drag me back to your site month after month, so thanks for your hard work contacting and interviewing these guys. It's a real shame Kim never got any more interviews for this site - he's a busy guy I know. But only two interviews for such a great site as Lemon is a pitty.
Anyway, probably too late to pass my regards to the BASS crew - I love the game, I reviewed in here on Lemon, and I think it's the best point-n-clicker on the amiga (just my opinion).
Cheers!! |

Nice! It would be also great, if you could find Edmund W. Clay, author of Epsilon 9, Starbase 13 and Lethal Formula.
His email was (edited), but who knows if it is still working. _________________

Perhaps PM me the email address - I am not sure if it is a good idea to post individuals emails in a forum thread.
Got one - possibly 2 more interviews happening over the next few days. _________________ www.AmigaPd.com is charityware - please support our chosen charity Mencap www.justgiving.com/amigapd |

Thanks for the link to codetappers page, never knew it existed. Through that I went on a mad mission to find interviews with Paul Holmes; which led me to a site called 'Amiga Games That Weren't' (http://agtw.abime.net/games/list/). Some of the games and interviews on there are brilliant. Crazy thing the internet - it can take just one link to reveal a whole treasure chest of fun. Thanks again. |

While we're on about interviews, I just found an interview with the Oliver Twins; who coded Dizzy and a host of other interesting stuff.
Go Here and find the audio link half way down the page. |

Andrew Morris - what a classic name in Amiga Land!! Enjoyed the interview - I just wish it was longer
Trivia: Magnetic Fields was originaly named 'Mr Chip Software'. Probably the best known game released under the Mr. Chip Software company name was Trailblazer - which was ported to all the early computers, and there was even a national Trailblazer championship set up and running in America at one point.
Tivia: They also had early successes with a Centipede clone called P.O.D (released through mastertronic), as well as Olympic Skier, Video Meanies, and 'Hero Of The Golden Talisman'.
Trivia: An enhanced version of Kikstart 2 was released for the Commodore 128 system, one of the very few native mode game titles for that computer.
Trivia: The cars in Supercars 1 and 2 were based on real designs. The 'Retron Parsec Turbo' being based on the Cizeta-Moroder V16T, the 'Vaug Interceptor' based on the Honda NSX and the 'Taraco Neoroder' (also featured in Supercars II) was based on the Alfa Romeo SZ. This is in slight contrast to the box art of SC1; where the blue car (Taraco) instead more closely resembles a contemporary european Ford Escort convertible. It is thought that at least one of the designers had access to an SZ.
Trivia: It has been speculated that some of the characters clustered around the car in the introduction sequence of Supercars 2 were based on family and friends of the programmers. Shaun and Andrew are both said to have cameo appearances within the game.
Trivia: Lotus Plc. were so happy with the game they set up an Amiga in the voyer of their Lotus Group HQ in Norfolk where visitors could play it. They upgraded the stand with Lotus Turbo Challenge 2 upon it's later release.
Trivia: There is a rumour that the original 16-bit 'Top Gear' trilogy was created by Shaun and Andrew before it was passed to other developers. Only Top Gear 2 made it to the Amiga (OCS and AGA versions).
Trivia: Supercars 3 is a fan developed Java game which is freely available to download from their web site.

Hey Lotus/Supercars/Kid Chaos fans,
Following the post I made above, AmigaPD got back to me and asked whether I'd like to ask some of these questions to Andrew Morris. Of course I gladly accepted!
So if you want to find out the top speed he reached in a Lotus while designing the game (forwards and sideways!), why not check out the updated interview on the AmigaPD.com web site:
http://www.amigapd.com/interview-andrew-morris.html
I very much enjoyed the opportunity , thanks guys!
You'll also find a heart-felt message to the Amiga community at the bottom of the page under 'Final Comments' which I thought was exceptionally well done. |

I miss a current photo of Andrew Morris. I like the comparison of the old and new photos of popular people around Amiga and I think 1991 Shaun's and Andrew's faces are notorically known to all Amiga players over the world. _________________
