Is anyone interested in a lemon64 style games compo?
I am willing to organise it for February and possibly longer if it doesn't take up too much of my time. |

Hannibal started one up a while ago, the game played was Pinball fantasies, and it was rather fun, but the threads and scores seem to have disappeared. I'm happy to help organise it and play in it, and I imagine most of the lemon64ers would want to play here too.. _________________ If you spell Kim Lemon backwards you get "Nomel Mik", it doesn't really mean anything but I just thought you should be aware of it |

This could be fun and include lots of sweat and tears. I'm just waiting for a voluntary competition organizer to get it going! _________________

Using WinUAE? I missed that WinUAE can work with it. |

Can someone explain how we do this - I know us C64/Amiga owners are an honest bunch but surely good faith alone isn't all we use to verify scores? _________________ Please refer all site and database related matters directly to me - incl. missing games, links, screenshots and suggestions. |

Fakes are usually fairly easy to spot because of lack of knowledge about things and possibilities of scores. We've gone through this argument a number of times and basically there are so many ways to cheat the possible measures that it's just not worth it. A screen capture with the score is usually enough, and we are an honest bunch here in Lemon World _________________ If you spell Kim Lemon backwards you get "Nomel Mik", it doesn't really mean anything but I just thought you should be aware of it |

OK there seems to be some interest so lets start voting for the game we will play.
Voting starts now and ends at midnight 6/2/05.
Each person lists five games they would like to play . The game in position 1 will get five points , the game in position 5 will get one point. Here is my selection.
1 SWIV
2 Alien Breed: Tower assault
3 Turrican
4 Lotus 2
5 The Chaos Engine
In my vote , SWIV gets 5 points , Alien Breed gets 4 points , Turrican gets 3 points , Lotus 2 gets 2 points and The Chaos Engine gets 1 point.
When voting for games try to ensure that they are suitable for a competition in that there is a point scoring system in use by the game or suggest a way results can be objectively judged. |

I'd much rather see this in an organized form like before with its own forum. I could create a forum, but then we must have atleast one person dedicated to keep the competition running, so that it doesn't fade away like last time.
You up for it sydney? _________________
