Babylon 5 - i never saw it back in the 90's and it stands up quite well imo. I cant believe they got away with DS9 though it's blatently a complete ripoff of Babylon 5.

The Other Guys - not the funniest Will Ferrell movie (and far too long) but worth watching for the Gator scene where he is looking after 'his ladies'

Saw 3D.

Saw series is difficult to explain. On the other hand Saw movies are interesting and something new, on the other hand they're the most disgusting, sickest piece of f-ing crap I have ever, ever seen! The first two ones were okay, but the rest is just a huge mix of screaming, blood, gore and traps tied together with cheesy storyline(s) and excuse connections.

Liked the first one as it was pretty original, which was nice. However the rest are your typcial cash in sequels with more and more blood and gore and less and less storyline and originality, the sequels kind all blend into one.

Watched a film called Wake Wood on Sky - ok, kinda like Pet Setetary.

Caught Cemetary Junction as well, again, watchable, nothing special.

Jonathan Ross Show on Sat night was ok with Noel Gallacher

I've got Paranormal Activity 3 to watch tonight. I've seen the first two so felt obliged to watch the third. Basically lining myself up for a load of tosh really...

I rarely watch movies, but finally I got around watching "Dracula" (the one from 1931). I always found vampires fascinating (but not spooky somehow) but never watched any Dracula-movie. It was great. Loved Bela Lugosi's staring. I think it was great for that time, but I think there was still much potential left back then. With 75 minutes it was also a little bit short for me, but still it was great.

I love 1930's movies. If I have the choice between some flim-flam hollywood blockbuster produced in recent years, or to trawl the archives of film antiquity, I'd go for the blank n' whites every time. I've seen some stunning movies from the 30's, with real tension and drama in the air, and moral tales of heroism and everyday life philosophy. Even the old screwball comedies were better than Yogi Bear 3D etc etc.

Some of my favourites from that period; - and some of their modern remakes:

Bringing Up Baby (Comedy)........... - Remake: 'Who's That Girl?' (1987)
Wife vs Secretary (Romance)........... - Remake: 'Secretary' (2002)
After the Thin Man (Detective)........... - Remake: 'The Thin Man' (2012/2013)
Wuthering Heights (Melodrama)........... - Remake: 'Wuthering Heights' (Various)
You Can't Take it With You (Moral Comedy) - Remade in 1987
Of Human Hearts (Melodrama)................... - never been remade
The Shop Around The Corner (1940) (Romance).. - Remake: 'You've Got Mail' (1998)
Mr Deeds goes to Town (Melodrama)........... - Remake: 'Mr Deeds' (2002)
My Man Godfrey (Satire)............................ - Remake: 'My Man Godfrey' (1957)
