Being a bit optimistic there aren't you? What if a round has 13 competitors, what will you do then? |
You're making that remark as a joke....but yes, my target is not to be last! Besides, if there are 13 then I would score a point. Coz YOU are normally last |

Had a good laugh at the comments today. You go for it Lines! You did well in most games this year - at least half way up the table on many - so I think you do great overall.
My all-time hero is Aryton Senna, - and I admire(d) his crocodile reflexes and steely determination - so yeah I'll be gunning for pole position as hard as possible. Hand-on-heart I've never cheated - if I'm the best then I like to prove it. Otherwise I don't mind where I come in the table as long as I know I've given it 100%. It's the only way to drive.

I am counting the votes myself on this knockout round because, A) I find it very interesting to see how the stats roll out, and B) because I've decided to make a special video to introduce each game in this round - so I need to know which order I need to make my videos in. This is to save me writing reams of words in the first posts for tips etc. Hope that's ok?
BTW - I haven't seen much of Shawn on the forums lately. I sure hope my comments about Brian the Lion didn't piss him off. I feel ashamed I did that now. My humblest apologies. |

haha, mihcael, you walked into that one.
If we're putting down targets I've got one. Every year my finishing score has been worse than the last one - so I plan to turn it around. Won't be too hard since I only played 3 rounds this year. lol. Instead I'm going to try and match my 2010 finish. Either make it to 9th place or score 60 points. Either will do.
And I don't know what bizarreness I missed with Shawn, but I've not seen Brian about for ages either! Was acting strange last time...

We aren't exactly ambitious. I'm saying I aim to "post some scores" and Biscuit wants to improve on this year, where he only played in 3 rounds.
No wonder EAB are caning our asses.
*edit* yeh what did happen with Shawn...c'mon Lifeschool, spill the beans coz I missed it too. |

I can't seem to find the thread myself, I just remember he was with us up to about the Turrican II round and then disappeared. I think I said something like 'I'd rather play anything rather than Brian the freekin Lion' - you know - as a joke - but haven't seen him on here since. Perhaps there's an innocent explanation. I notice a lot of the old regulars have faded away of late - down to 8 players for batman - the lowest turn-out of the season so far - so maybe it's just this time of year...
BTW, I have to say - (getting back to the votes! - come on guys, vote! vote!) I didn't vote for Dune II even though this game is my favourite strategy game of ALL TIME. I'd rather play DuneII than any C&C game - and still find the atmosphere and the strategy element amazing. But I couldn't bring myself to vote for it simply because there are so many other great games we've played this year. |

Batman was a shit game. People always fade away from the comp, some come back, some people only want to play certain game. Try to get some new people competing in the meantime. _________________

Difficult to predict the turn out sometimes. Although it does bother me when loads of people turn out to vote for a particular game....only to leave a few of us struggling to play it in the actual round!
...I thought Batman was quite good! I'm offended! It's Brian the Lion and Shawn all over again....sob.
I'm sure the Dimery will return, he has gone awol before and managed to find his way back. I pm'ed him a few days ago, will update if I here anything. |

I think Batman is a classic! - absolute fun. I have to admite I was slightly offended as well. Writing any 7/10 game off as 'shit' is an insult to shit games everywhere. Batman Returns - check that one out if you wanna say anything is shit, or even this. |

Though technically that might be a shit game, consider this...
a; A dude who can only walk, can't jump and dies when people walk into him a couple of times?
b; A flying indestructible truck that does 100 MPH over mountain ranges and can do reverse burnouts like a honda civic?
Which sounds like more fun? _________________

^ Yet the Batman Pack helped Commodore sell 200,000 units between July 1989 and June 1990 in the Uk alone. Yes you can't jump, but you can swing - which is even better! |
