Sting once sang: "Seven days is all she wrote, kind of an ultimatum note, she gave to me." So here we are in the quarter finals. Half of the contestants I see here didn't play in the original round, so this one might be interesting. If anyone needs any help, here's my guide to the first half of the game...

First go at this. Got as far as Paris with 8k more than I scored by this stage in my review. Still died! - so I guess it didn't really matter? Will try again later this week.

I'm one of them, but don't expect me to dazzle you. I'm gonna have to put some practice into this.

Following on from Lifeschool's comment, Simon Humphrey didn't post a score in Pang first time round so I've no idea if my scores are any good, I failed to gain any league points from this game so I'm guessing Simon is gonna be better than me.

I've got some time put aside after an eye test later today (gotta ensure my body maintains a competitive edge), I'll have a high protein lunch and then get on the case.

Squat thrust, squat thrust. Can't believe no one batted an eyelid at LifeSchool casually throwing a Sting quote into the mix. An journo once interviewed Sting and talked about his tantric sex obsession...
Sting: I can make love for hours and not climax.
Journo: Yeh, my wife's no oil painting either.

Quote should have been, "I will kill him!"

Oooooh! John4p's put a score in! Wonders will never cease. Shocked

As for the Sting lyric, I was gonna write something from Seven Days by Craig David, but I'm even less of a fan of him than I am of Sting. Craaaag Daaavid! Fyi, I can also go 'all night'. I used to have a competition going to see if I could beat the number of orgasms I could give a girl. The record currently stands at 14, but it took all freakin day to beat my previous high score of 12. Laughing (And that's the truth!! - but who's counting?). One of the neighbours actually threw a brick through my kitchen window to try to stem the screaming. It didn't work. Wink

Am having a nightmare with the game freezing, is anyone else experiencing this? Usually happens during first level.

Lifeschool: Hello Neighbour, is this your brick?
Neighbour. Yes, by God you've been at it for 12 hours straight, don't you need to sleep or eat?
Lifeschool: No, we live off the fruits of love.
Neighbour: Well can you stop throwing the skins out the window...the dog keeps choking on them...

Laughing Very Happy

I'm guessing your using the adf. I've found it a little unstable too. Has a tendency to freeze on the 'game over' screen for me. It used to crash at the start of games until I enabled 'compatible'. But I'm using E-UAE so I don't know how that relates to WinUAE.

I'll try enabling "compatible" tonight. But yeh, typically it would freeze at the start of a level, typically level 1 Sad

I'm getting better but Leningrad is nasty. Lost 6 lives or more slip sliding around.

I like Pang, I'm just not very good at it, especially when compared to Graham.

LinesMachine - That really sucks. I hope you get it sorted out (I would help, but I have no idea what to do) so we can have a proper round. If you do get it sorted, you will probably end up beating me.

I had the same issues with the ADF - it was as if somebody pressed <Esc> after a couple of seconds into the game so the titlescreen was loaded again.

Now I'm using the latest WinUAE 2.4.0 beta (see EAB-thread) and the problem doesn't occur anymore.

Nah, I'm ok now. WinUAE is a funny old bxstard sometimes, glitches for little or no reason and then boots up fine when you just hit restart.

As for the competition between us, I posted an all time (for me) best of 400k in the league. But my previous bests have been close to your score so it should be fun. I shouldn't say this but I wouldn't exactly cry my eyes out if I didn't progress cause I don't enjoy the remaining games that much.

Crying or Very sad

This is my second go, which I did on Tuesday. The lazer gun in the corner gives away the reason for my demise. Lost a lot of lives on Paris 1 - no idea why - that level is not very hard.
