Oh, I see you edited your post. I was going to say it is IMPOSSIBLE to score leech in this game, and milking a few enemies from a generator will only give you a few 100 points anyway. I think the most score is gained by selecting the appropriate exits, and essentially picking the correct ROUTE. Now if only we could start talking about routes and keys! |

My point exactly. I was simply surprised by people talking about possible unfairness while monster generators are the core gameplay element in Chaos, allowing player to gain more points, but also coins.
Anyway, I finished the game again, but this is not my best score. Because of Preacher's "wisdom" I lost lots of points. Preacher is definitely the good flanker and has great special if you just want to finish the game, but is not the best choice for this competition, imo.

Exactly. In fact it is not wise to upgrade any CPU character wisdom. Also that's why I choose Thug - he is "the dumbest". |

YEAH! This will get me 1 point in the comp (so far)
I am starting to get the hang of it again. Its harder to be playing this for points rather than to finish.. I take a lot more risks!

Dunno how about the others, but I was just chatting about "milking", not about unfairness of any kind
no endlessly-respawning-score-giving enemies = no unfairness, even potential. it's obvious
on topic: I started to play with notebook and pencil I doubt I will gain any results before the round ends but my knowledge will increase |

Final go at this:
Score: 56,690
A very productive run through today, although I think I missed the best route on level '4-2'. Very bored with this game now, so unless I'm beaten down to 6th place later on; that's it for me. Hopefully this 4th place score will stay to the end of the round and put me in second position (3 points behind Harry) in the championship.

Oh yeah, I mean't 4.2, the one with the sewers. I turned/pulled a lever and this opened up a hole in a room to the right - but I could have gone straight up the level for more score. I recorded the whole thing too - so you can expect some kind of longplay review to appear for this game sometime later this week (Fri/Sat) so anyone who wants to see me playing it can watch how I did it.
edit: btw, it's my Birthday today in case anyone noticed. Commiserating it tonight with a meal and a few drinks. |
