DosBox is great! I use it all of the time.

Most DOS games are better than their Amiga counterparts, better graphics (256 colors compared to the Amiga's 32), better sound (at least with Roland MT32 emulation)

Or you use the real thing *and* Amiga Wink

The PC had a great collection of adventure games that never managed to make it to the Amiga as well. Countdown, Martian Memorandum, Amazon - Guardians of Evil - try and track them down.

I've played all those games, plus Tex Murphy: Under a Killing Moon, and Tex Murphy: Pandora Directive. Smile

Access had some great adventure games.

Aaah Tex Murphy - dont forget Overseer - defo in my greatest games ever list!

Come back Tex!

Yeah! Love Under a Killing Moon, etc. Still runs and sounds (Roland SC-55!) great on my DOS-Retro-PC btw (native DOS *no* DOSbox) Cool

No matter how good a DOS game is, I have always hated those early computer's beeping sounds. Especially if the soundtrack is based on it. Let's compare Ski or die's ports on Amiga and DOS. The graphics aren't too different, but sounds are. Amiga's ones are awesome, DOS ones just rape your ears in a matter of seconds.

Well - just listen to the clip above ;->

Or use a sort of Hybrid-PC (clip above Wink). Turrican II looks and runs great on this PC (with native Gravis Ultrasound (!) support btw)
