|
|
Hi,
I'm having a problem with getting WHDLoad to work with CF cards greater than 1gb on my A1200 with DKB1202 4mb and 33mhz FPU (jumpered correctly).
I have a 'known good' classicwb with WHDload hdf file which when put on the 1gb cf card works fine in the machine and on Winuae.
Now if I put the same HDF file on a bigger CF card it does not work on the 1200 (gives various errors the most common being wrong kickstart image).
The odd thing is those bigger cards DO work if I use them in Winuae...
I assumed it was something to do with the dkb card? I disabled the fpu and tried 3 different memory sticks in it (which all passed a memory test). I've tried 3 different CF cards, sandisk ultra 2gb, sandisk ultra II 4gb and a transcend 4gb...ALL work when mounted in WinUAE, all fail on the 1200 itself. When I say fail I mean WHDload fails..everything else seems to work ok.
I'd assume it was a problem with the 1200 but as I say the 1gb cards work fine! (just not big enough for all I want to load up on it).
The 1200 does have 3.0 roms...could this be the problem? I have 3.1 one the way.
Thanks. |

How is the card partitioned? Are you trying to put one big >1GB partition on the card? If so, that may likely be the problem. _________________ Amigas Owned: A1000 (NTSC, 512KB RAM)

Hi, I have it partitioned 1gb, 1gb, 2gb. As I say everything else works, just not WHDload. Last night I tried changing the Mask and Trasfer (thing) in the advanced settings of HDToolbox as suggested on the WHDLoad documents. No change. Everything works except that, and if I put the CF card on WinUAE it works. |

WOW! 1GB for your boot partition? That's a bit much for the Amiga to handle - I usually keep the boot partition to around 200MB (absolute max.) _________________ Amigas Owned: A1000 (NTSC, 512KB RAM)
