|
|
I wanted to run a magazine cover disk called:
Stampede Amiga, with a demo of Turrican.
The disk originally ran on my stock Amiga 500, with 512meg.
However I am unable to get this disk to run using UAE, when trying what I thought was an Amiga 500 setup.
Can anyone help me with a configuration which works?
A version of this disk image for testing purposes can be found at:
http://planetemu.net/?section=roms&dat=376&action=showrom&id=516926
Thank you. |

Not absolutely certain, but it seems the image is bad. Could
be another copy is required to work--this one may take me time
to be certain whether it is the config or the disk image itself.
Someone else (?) here may beat me to it... _________________ Who is John Galt?

Thanks for your reply.
I tested with another disk image (available on the following page) and had the same results:
Link - shortened so it doesn't break the forum width
I might just be missing the secret config to make it work, if that is indeed a different version of the image.
It is not an easy to find disk and my original has long since perished. |

Thanks for getting back about this issue cerium88.
The thing is, the demo disc actually has a music track and demo intro, which I really want to see/hear again. This is not on the full game, but only on this demo disk.
Is this something you could try with your configurations, incase I am missing something, or the files are actually corrupt.
Perhaps someone has a working copy? |

Hi,
By listening to the sound of the disk drive before the game decides to crash, would suggest the problem is either one of the following: A form of Copy Protection or bad sectors on the disk. I think personally it seems to be some kind of copy protection which quite a few games used. (I could be wrong).. _________________ Cheers,
