just got the old 1200 out of the loft and just joined up here. hello!
everything works fine except the sound is really tinny, scratchy and quiet, its linked up with a good scart lead.
never had any issues before, anyone know what might be wrong?
thanks! _________________ graham |

When you say a scart - exactly how?
RCA'S (phonos) into a scart adapter or a proper Amiga - Scart Lead?
Try using a standard red/white/yellow RCA (Phono) lead and see if you get sound from it, Most amiga 1200 are connected to tellys these days like that if they still have the 3 phono sockets on (most do) _________________ Owned:

Try a different scart socket and then a different rca lead first to emilute any issues there first[/code] _________________ Owned:

Hmm... sounds a little like my A1200. It started to be really quiet on one side, then all sound went quiet and tinny and my right mouse wont click.
I have tried replacing capacitors but no joy. I have to emulate these days Hopefully its not as terminal as mine... _________________ A1200 RIP

It could be capacitors involved with audio output. If you can find someone who is skilled, just replace them all.
Cheers,
