When I insert blank unpartitioned cf card into my laptop pcmcia slot, disk doesn't appear on the hard drive list in WINUAE, it only appears when I format it but then I can't install anything on it as WinUAE says that it has active windows partition.
I'm lost |

| you need to delete all the partitions on it in windows first using disk part or something similar, or maybe you can use control panel > computer management > storage > disk management to sort it out. |

With no partitions at all winuae can't see it (not on the list)
I created partition but didn't format it, I installed Workbench with the same settings as my real A600 and it's working in WinUAE but when i put card in real Amiga it doesn't load Workbench just normal purple floopy screen. |

I really hate Amiga right now. I wasted 3 days and followed lots of guides and tutorials. It's all working on the PC but failing to work on Amiga. I'm waiting for WB 2.05 and HD install floppies to arrive and I'll try installing WB into HD on real A600. If no luck I'll trash it. |

| Almost anything works in winuae but the actual hardware is way more picky. A real hard disk is a billion times better than CF it has to be said, and yes i found out the hard way too. |

I'm thinking of changing out the CF Card in my A1200 for a proper HDD as I have 3 or 4 sat around - although I need to find my WB3.1 disks.
A couple of errors (suspend/reboot) have crept in now that I have my ACA1231 installed and I'm thinking a proper mechanical HDD might eliminate those. |

Ok Amiga 600 saved from meeting my hammer, disks arrived and I installed 2.05 on real Amiga no problems. |
