Make sure the ram is installed securely on the card and remove the card and put it back in it might just need re-seating. If it still freezes a lot try using the amiga for a while with the card in but no ram installed, that way you could find out one way or the other if the ram is at fault. If it isn't then you might have programs in workbench which cause the problems.

Might be the mother board revision of the A1200. I can't remember which one is the best... it sits in my A1200T I know that. Revision 1D4 I sort of remember as being the best compatible A1200 when it comes to all things hardware but don't quote me on that as I can't honestly remember. Printed on the mother board if I remember correct on all revisions.
Check or ask for more info. My memory sucks. Sorry! Crying or Very sad

Could also be that your board is touching the inside metal shielding just inside the trap door, bend it back flush.

I know with my A1200, both the Fast RAM card I had and my ACA1230 don't like to be plugged in all the way.
I have to plug it in all the way, and then edge one corner of the card back just a bit...

I'm thinking it's a bad connection.. I cleaned the connector, but might need to try again..

Did that with both the cards I tried.
But, with edging the card back just a smidge, it works great....

YMMV.. Wink

Good Luck..

It's amazing how many A1200's tend to short the accelerators with it's RF shielding. Bending up the lip on the RF shield will cure the problem. Or you can trim the bottom off with snips or a dremel tool.
