Unless R-Type 2 is an instant hit with me I think I'll be staying by Dynablaster. It takes like 4 hours to complete that game, so I think it will be hard enough to maintain a good position unless I dedicate a lot of time to it. Still, who has four hours to spare in one sitting??

Might have a go later after the extended live coverage of the GB GP. Cool

Same here. Gonna watch the F1 & then sit down & do it in one stint. I love Bomberman/Dyna Blaster, so I can think of worse ways to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Yeah it could be worse, at least Dynablaster is a good game. Still sore about F1GP though.

Just had my two hours on Dyna. Got to 3-2. 186,000 score. Didn't get the screenshot in time. Deflated. Confused

Oh man, that sucks. I'll have a go now. I think I better have a test run first so I know where the hi-score table is.

I don't see a high score table on Dyna Blaster. And if you get a rubbish score on R-Type II like I just did then it doesn't let you put your name in.

Who's gonna fight out the last couple of R-Type II places with me? I seriously suck at it, and I don't even like it enough to try very hard.

If you find one let me know because there isn't one. If you don't grab the screen within two seconds that's it.

Biscuit: Nah man you go ahead, knock yourself out.

I found this out myself, the hard way Confused

Another problem I'm having is my PC keeps blue screening on me while running WinUAE & I have no idea why. Really frustrating. I haven't been able to have a proper run at it yet because of it.

I don't suppose anyone has a crack of it on an actual floppy? Might be the only way I'll be able to play in the round. Sad

Even if there is no hi-score table you can always send main screen of the game that always shows hi-score in the right corner of the screen.

Ignore my previous post. It must be my graphics card & WinUAE 1.2. Seems to work okay with WinUAE 2.3. Plus I also have the game on WHDload & Single Click. Thumbs Up

Died on the second boss. The game is really easy when you pick up lots of power-ups, but as soon as you lose them (especially the 'through-wall' power-up) by doing something stupid, it gets really hard.[/b]

That's a perfect description for R-Type II(and probably any other shmup), as well. Very Happy
