My TV is a 32" square screen Toshiba from the late 1990's. It weights about half a tone, and takes two men just to lift it. It cost me £7.50 on ebay (I collected in person) as the guy was throwing out his CRT in favour of a (smaller) widescreen LCD. My system uses 10 audio speakers: Five small gray surround speakers (you can see one on the top of the TV), Two black 8" hi-fi speakers (you can see one on the left), an extra bass speaker on the surround system, as well as the two original TV speakers themselves.

The game you are seeing is Jim Power on the Amiga as this plays large on screen. If you can recommend a better full screen game for me then also go ahead.

The DVD rack on the left contains over 3000 original (i.e. now useless) discs.

The plants you can see are NOT dying, they just look dead.

10 years ago i would say 4:3.. since you could get much bigger for same or less costs (not to mention widescreen broadcast had a pretty slow start)

nowadays you can get crt for minimal costs.. or even for free if lucky
which makes em still a nice choice for people with limited cashflow
and im pretty sure plenty retro gamers would prefer crt instead of lcd for their old game machines

but since i've gotten used to 1080p movies/series and 1200p gaming (can i even call it that? Very Happy) on pc.. it would easily win my vote for anything modern

sidenote is that i can get my nostalgic amiga and mame feeling just as easily from running winuae in a window on my monitor Rolling Eyes

4:3 is so much better for gaming use (the only use of my crt). For movies and modern systems I use a WS LCD.

I have a 36" Panasonic widescreen TV with CRT technology, this means that in 14:9 mode the graphics are the same as a 28" 4:3 TV anyway so works great for Amiga games.

However I have a DLP projector and 150" screen to watch TV/Movies on so do I win a prize? Very Happy
