For the record I'm also using keys. I use keys a lot, like em.
And John - Holy ****. Great time. _________________

Not enough, you are supporting the wrong Eintracht, now you also nuked my lead in this competition.
Nice one. |
Haha, thanks.
You still have a comfortable lead in Phoenix.

I stand corrected - you win:

So, enough is enough. I'll keep my lead in Phoenix for a few more seconds, minutes, hours, who knows.

Thats remains to be seen, but I mean with you only being able to use keys you need auto gears, so it's a good job they are allowed. |
I use keys by choice...and manual gears. Can someone explain the comment above? Have I missed something? |

John said: "I use automatic gears because the additional key presses for shifting would draw too much attention where I am (also shifting without sound is difficult)." - and I was replying saying it's a good job auto gears are allowed then. No big deal. You can use whatever you want. |

No improvements this time. Just drove a 1:11,2 in Interlagos and a 1:18,5 in Phoenix.
And now, for the most important tip for Phoenix: Don't get hectic. I know the track tempts to do so, but if you are always five meters too late on the brakes, it's rather sliding around the track than driving. Try to begin with a slower pace and see at which point of a corner you can hit the pedal again without wheelspin. After that, enter the pits, get a new set of D tyres and give your best shot.
btw: I think my 1:10.795 in Interlagos is much closer to a perfect lap(can't see, how to beat john's brillant time), than my 1:18.149 in Phoenix. A 1:16 should be possible. |

2 Pointers for Interlagos: after the initial "Senna S" there comes a white banner. If the time still shows 0:13 in the moment you pass it you're on a good lap. If the time already shows 0:14 don't bother to continue...
At the last curbstones before you can go fullspeed to the goal the timer should show 0:57 (or less ).

In the middle sections of Interlagos I think I somewhat slide in two slow sharp bends. That driving style doesn't seem to work in Phoenix though - thanks for the advice. |
