Ok, all I can remember is I think it was a police game with a top down view, ur car had lights on top and a target so far infront of you which you had to catch other cars with, does this ring any bells with anyone?

I sure could use a doughnut!

Pretty decent conversion - even though bit ST-eque, but APB was good fun.

I would agree that's the game you are looking for - only other I can think of is Miami Chase.

I also think that it's 'APB' - however, the only other police-themed game I know, which uses a top-down view is 'Hill Street Blues' by Krisalis...

It's a nice conversion (APB). I don't like purple roads, though. Why not gray?! And graphics could have been identically drawn on Amiga, or what?! I mean e.g. the convertible with people inside it having a party looks pretty lame on Amiga.

It's because it's an Atari ST port, unfortunately like many earlier coinop conversions on the Amiga. Still a fine game of course, but the Amiga version could have easily been arcade perfect if only the programmers had made use of the Amiga's superior power.

The only thing I hear is the expression spoken close to the end: "Thank you very much, well done".

Yeah, I think he's using something like the Peanuts cartoons teacher voice... wah wah type of thing... which can be lengthened depending on how many bonuses you get. It then finishes with an actual saying, which IMO is "thankyou for your service, well done."
