Why aren't t there any new updates in terms of the reviews? Since December 6th 2011 not a single article has been released. On 'Lemon 64' again, new written reviews will be released regularly. I wonder why?

As far as reviews, I for one haven't written
one yet--just not my cup 'o tea; however, I may put
my hand to it someday. In a similar vein; traffic-wise,
the Lemon c64 site far exceeds this one; I think the
traffic has declined over the last few years to what
is today only a trickle. Not sure why.

I went from writing reviews to making video reviews on Lemon, and have made about 30 so far. I was hoping there would be a section on the main page to feature them but it hasn't happened yet. Perhaps that's why the written reviews have dried up? Dunno. Anyway my last video review for Lemon Amiga was only last month.

Do people really read those reviews? I just go through the short comments. I'm not interested in someone else giving me his in-depth review of a game that I can just load up and make up my own opinion.

Reviews are something of the 80s/early 90s when only paper magazines were available without demo disks.

that's precisely what i pretended to emulate on my reviews, though. this is, after all, a nostalgia-based website, is it not?

i actually read the reviews and usually i like them very much, even the ones i don't fully agree with.

I have only ever submitted 3 - all up here (none done on Lemon 64) for Rocket Ranger, Wings and Nightbreed The Interactive Movie.

There is a view count at the bottom of the review.

Personally I like reading reviews, whether they are the in-depth ones or just the short comments. Same with IMDb and a number of webistes - I do like a good review!

I agree--when I get around to it, reading a review seems a
relaxing way to spend a few moments in a world that is moving
doubletime. I may not see eye to eye on somebody's take on a
game, but that's ok--other's views are often interesting--may even
bring up a few unnoticed angles, as well..

What about the 10 unpublished reviews in the queue? Who is currently responsible for administrating the site?

EvilCensor. If I remember well, those unpublished were very low grammar quality, not suitable for publishing. Unfortunatelly, mods can't do that, you need high admin rights. Mods can only moderate forum.

EvilCensor has been inactive for the last eight months, unfortunately. I've tried contacting Kim Lemon about the issue. Maybe he can promote another member of the community to admin duties. I'd really love to see more reviews (and maybe even database updates) on the site.

Although I'm an admin, sadly I can only administrate the forum and not the rest of the site. This is a bit frustrating because I'd like to see new reviews and games added more regularly but there's not a lot I can do about it.

And I will say again, that I would also help out a little if given the opportunity. At least a bit more than what is (not) happening at the moment.
