I do not collect them anymore but still own them. They are in the attic. There are plenty of things in the attic Cool Tell me, Maletoth, have you ever been in an attic?

I don't have an attic here, rather a basement, and it's packed with stuff, some old boring stuff and some cool old stuff Wink

I sold my star wars figures about 10 years ago. The only remotely similar thing I have is a bag of about 50+ Monster in My Pocket characters. Need to find a happy home for them soon.

Monsters in My Pockets, I still have a complete collection of the first series down in the basement. They used to be pretty cool in their days.

I used to own some Biker Mice from Mars and a couple Street Sharks action figures when I was a kid. Years ago, I gave them to my nephew - and may God protect him from me if he has thrown them away Twisted Evil

I remember I had Skeletor, He-Man, Si-klone and Tri-klops. Now only poor Tri-klops is surviving, without armor and one arm.

Never really collected figures, but had few of various series.

At least he still has his three eyes Laughing

It seems you a bilanced main hero and villian leader + one ally for each side.

Two months ago I managed to complete the Masters Of The Universe action figures collection, they are 70 altogether. It was a nice 30th year anniversary celebration Cool

Reality is a bit simplier: during 80's when MOTU were the heroes of the day, here in former Czechoslovakia was still tough communism. No western toys like cartoon action figures were on sale here. But time to time we managed to get few comics. We adored Masters and if someone was so lucky that he had parents or relatives allowed to travel to Western Germany, he had a chance to get some western toys. My granddad was travelling to W.Germany around 1985 and me and my brother were asking him to bring us some Masters figures. After he returned, he really brought us those four mentioned above. We were SO HAPPY! And we absolutelly didn't care which figures they were. We became the kings of our classrooms with Masters figures Cool

Wow, thank you for this interesting story! I hadn't noticed you were from Prague. Indeed, I often forget that when I was a kid in the 80's half of Europe was still behind Iron Curtain. You must have been one of the few who owned Masters figures back then in Eastern countries. I always wondered if there existed equivalents produced by Soviet culture, like Russian heroes? Well, I know Czech Republic has a historical cartoon and animated puppets tradition itself (my father is still a big Jiri Trnka fan).

No, there was nothing like western action figures, which were even supported with cartoons and comics. In socialistic countries there were some figures produced, but they were very general - like indians or firemen. Also we had very popular equivalent of Playmobil figures. There were no super heroes in socialism, they werent exactly banned, but almost. So we adored western cartoons, comics, heroes and all the merchandise around it.

There were cartoons and comics here as well, but they all were for small children and the characters were childish.

We had a lot of absolutelly marvelous toys, construction sets and bowden-driven vehicles were of top quality, but action figures were just missing.

Thank you for sharing these memories, it gives me an interesting insight of what childhood was just a few kilometres away, on the other side of Europe. And I guess Amiga arrived just in the early 90's, after the Berlin Wall collapsed?
