|
|
Now all up and running (thanks to you guys)
My final question may be a simple one.
I downloaded the WHDLoad packs and can see CD32 & CDTV titles in there. However these corresponding titles do not appear in Gambase Amiga.
For example there is Beneath a Steel Sky CD32 version zip, but just the floppy and standard WHDLoad version to play in the Gamebase.
Do I have to add these manually to play? I had a rather crude attempt at adding a game into the Gamebase but am only successful at the .adf versions. Even tried adding Extra's and linking the zip to WHDLoad, all to no avail. _________________ Fave Amiga Games:

Managed to get adf files running - just copied and pasted the GEMUS values to games I have added, but I do not know these values for CD32 and CDTV games - keep getting error's when I attempt any changes
From a forum I found and added the below - but i get an error on startup stating the selected system rom requires a 68020 with 24 bit addressing or higher CPU
kickstart_rom=v3.1 CD32
kickstart_ext_rom=v3.1 CD32
immediate_blits=true
ntsc=false
chipset=AGA
collision_level=playfields
chipset_compatible=CD32
fastmem_size=1
bogomem_size=0
chipmem_size=4
cpu_speed=real
cpu_type=68ec020
cpu_model=68020
cpu_compatible=true
cpu_24bit_addressing=true
cpu_cycle_exact=true
blitter_cycle_exact=true
cycle_exact=false _________________ Fave Amiga Games:

Use A1200 or A4000 config for CD32.
Changing to "cpu_type=68020" should help. _________________ RIP mom (1953-2008) |

Cheers for the reply. I took the GEMUS info direct from Shadow Fighters AGA (below) but when I select to start game it only loads up the A1200 startup screen as if no disk was inserted.
I am trying to link it to a zip folder which contains The Speris Legacy. This zip contains:
The Speris Legacy.ccd
The Speris Legacy.img
The Speris Legacy.sub
GEMUS includes:
kickstart_rom=v3.1 CD32
kickstart_ext_rom=v3.1 CD32
immediate_blits=true
ntsc=false
chipset=AGA
collision_level=playfields
fastmem_size=4
bogomem_size=0
chipmem_size=4
cpu_speed=max
finegrain_cpu_speed=max
cpu_type=68020
cpu_compatible=false
cpu_cycle_exact=false
blitter_cycle_exact=false
I also amended the Kickstart wording to:
kickstart_rom=3.1 rev 40.60
kickstart_ext_rom=vCD32 Extended-ROM rev 40.60
To match what is in my emulator folder. This gets me a little further - a screen boots with a pair of eyes stating waiting for bootable media. An error message then appears stating:
Read error 27 on block 0 _________________ Fave Amiga Games:

Ah I thought you were trying to run the WHD version.
It's been a while since I last fiddled with GameBase and as far as I can tell, you're trying to run a CloneCD image of Speris Legacy.
Why get the WHD version from whdownload instead ? _________________ RIP mom (1953-2008) |

I Have the WHDLoad version as well - but the CD32 one. Will that be easier to run? _________________ Fave Amiga Games:

Yeah that should work with the Shadow Fighters AGA settings.
You need to edit settings in GEMUS such as path and slave name.

I think I will leave the WHDLoad settings, for now I am would just be happy to be able to load CD32 and CDTV titles via Gamebase.
I can run them independently via WinUAE, so my settings should be good. It's just finding out what I need to input into GEMUS in order for it to work via the Gamebase.
I saved my configurations and opened them as a notepad file. I copied and pasted all the info into the GEMUS screen, no joy! _________________ Fave Amiga Games:
