What are your three most favorite albums, and why?
Mine are:
Iron Maiden -Somewhere in Time (highly solid, awesome songs, amazing cover artwork)
Metallica - Master of Puppets (this just slays!)
Anthrax - Among the Living (thrashing heaviness, Mr. Benante is one of the greatest drummers of all time) _________________ ArchaicMetallurgy.com

Will need to have a think about this, but just listened to Mansun's Attack of the Gray Lantern for the first time in years - and it still sounds excellent. _________________ Fave Amiga Games:

I've given this some thought before; I'm pretty confident with these three (ordered by preference):
The Dark Side of the Moon, by Pink Floyd. I know that it's kind of a cliché choice, but I've never seen another album with such simultaneously high standards of consistency, production, and sequencing.
A Love Supreme, by John Coltrane. Just a brilliant jazz album, and it's one of the few from its time that actually feels like a unified album.
Equinoxe, by Jean-Michel Jarre. A lot of people prefer Oxygène, but this one sounds more focused to me. Both are excellent! _________________ The most depressing thing in the world. |

Stereolab: The Mars Audiac Quintet (It's just a vast piece of work)
Glenn Gould playing Bach's Goldberg Variations (the 1956 release)
DJ Shadow: Endtroducing |

I'll have to revise my list.
2. Pink Floyd - Wish you were here
gets kicked out and my new entry is:
2. The Wipers - Youth of America
maybe the most underrated band of all times. No grunge and no american postpunk music thinkable without The Wipers. |

I always felt Nirvana were a little over rated but Pearl Jam (specifically the album Ten) was mind blowing. |

Loved the album Ten by Pearl Jam back in the day and Blood Sugar.....album by the RHCP. Still thinking this over - it's hard.
reminds me of the classic line in I'm Alan Partridge. What's your favourite album by The Beatles?
That would have be Their Greatest Hits....by The Beatles.
Same episode - the line about Kurt Kobain shooting himself because he was depressed (Someone should have told him they were good)
