Just one tip for you all guys: try this brilliant game in arcade version(MAME emulator) it's amazing much faster and easier than version for AMIGA.This version we all compete is much harder and looks comparing to arcade machine version like in slow motion... I just play it few times and make almost 500,000 and you starts with only 3 lives!

There is a reason we play Amiga version. Wink
Anyway, you're just saying to try or to compete in arcade version, cause I hope you know it's not allowed to play in any other kind of version in this competition.

Not up to you guys standards yet as I've only had a couple of goes (159,070 - will upload pictures when i figure how/get them off my phone).

This is the first time I've played BB on the Amiga and it's certainly different to the Arcade and feels different to the C64.

Just wondering is it easier to play in WinUAE or on a real Amiga (using my A1200 at the moment)?.

I'm going to have an all out blast on this as I used to love it on my C64

Try picking up the speed shoes and you'll find the Amiga version goes TOO FAST!

@lifeschool
You are absolutely right man about the shoes!
When you wearing shoes you are like a rocket totally out of control,so my advice is to avoid shoes and not to wear it at all,it's safer!
About another thing... Someone mentioned before about 7 visible lives on screen and if there more lives that not appear on the screen, well yes!
If you pick EXTEND letters and get an extra life even you had 7 already you'll have 8 but computer counts it anyways. So you lost one life and there is still 7 lives on the screen! Sorry for my bad english but I hope you will understand what I am trying to say... Once again cheers for Bubble Bobble!!!

Arrrg!! I was well in line for the million!, just waiting to pick up that little bit of extra score to put me over the top - but that score never arrived. Was on 800k by level 26, but by level 36 I was still 36k short, STILL waiting for a 'D' to get an extra life, and STILL getting away with completing the levels. On level 34 I picked up a flask thinking 'at last!, I have the million'; but I was trapped inside a block and because bubbles dont work in the flask bonus rounds I couldn't get them. Quite disappointed but at the same time glad to be back on top. Wink

Great score there. I managed 773,780 today thanks to getting 4 flasks which put me ontop for about an hour!! I'll be more than happy if I stay in 2nd place by the finish, though I expect it to be quite close near the end.

Thanks for updating the icons links, I will check them out tomorrow Smile

Has anyone noticed the game doesn't always give you the points it promises? Like when you collect the red gem and it says 7,000, you sometimes only actually get 4k or 5k points. Sometimes it does give you 7k, but not always.

Yes, the WcDonalds bonus is supposed to give a few thousand points (can't remeber the exact amount), but every time I have collected it I only got 10 points. I also noticed that the level skip cheats don't work with the ADF version (I was only using them to see if all 100 levels were in it). F1 pauses the game and F2 & F3 seem to do nothing.

BTW, congratulations to aca0808 for smashing through the 1 million points barrier. I came close tonight with 920,230 before things went downhill faster than I expected.

aca0808, do you have any tips for level 32? That level is a nightmare and I can't kill any of them - I always end up losing my lives Sad
