Any chance of that in english?
Thats the price I was quoted by the UK Post office for x2 boxes each weighing 15kg, as I clearly have said, I would advise to arrange your own courier which is cheaper. Perhaps if you read the listing properly you would understand this _________________ Owned:

Just a question mikey (and others).
Lets say I want to buy A500+ on ebay or similar site or the seller doesnt allow me to open Amiga, how to recognize the s****y battery killed the board already? Will there be any problems occuring immediately after turning it on? Red screen, green screen, you know what I mean, similar to wrong RAM or PSU indicators. Any clues? |

I did some search and the "insert a disk" screen doesnt even appear when battery has leaked and caused a damage on mobo. If its able to boot a disk, its not a ceratin death yet Try before you buy if you can (what an advice! ) |

| Not true, the battery can very well leak bad and it can still boot up to the Insert WB disk screen! It simply means that the acid hasn't killed the Amiga yet! I would advise anyone looking to buy an Amiga 500+, A2000, A3000 or A4000 to ASSUME the battery has leaked, unless you check it otherwise. NiCad batteries WILL leak. Especially after 20+ years. (yes even if never powered up) |

Here is what my dead 500+ mobo looks like after being killed by the battery - you can see the corroded Gary socket which was in the process of being removed but never was able to repair the board:

I would get a green screen indicating there are memory/Agnus issues:

I took mine out just over a year ago, my A500+, it had slowly started to leak. Caught it in time!
Who ever is the new owner, open it up and cut the battery out.
Even if you have an A500 with 1/2meg and battery on board then cut it off. In the long term it's worth more to you working than dead. No need to replace the battery at all if your mig is being used as a games machine. _________________ A1200T, Apollo 1260, 32MB RAM, 3.1 ROMS, 4GB HD, Z4 Board, Picasso II, IOBlix (Serial/Parallel), Squirrel SCSI, 2X CD, IDE 100MB Zip Drive, OS - DOpus Magellan II.
