| Hi, I have an a1200 ks3.1 w IND ACA1230/56. After 2-3 hours of use, the system hangs. Upon restart I get video garbage, failed starts, etc. The room is roughly 80f. After the system is cooled everything works great again. Do you think this is PSU related? What else could it be? Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated! |

| Try it without ACA first. |

At that temp. you really should not have any heat related problems, although that's what it sounds like.
The obvious = all of the case vents are open? No huge dust bunnies hiding in there? Blow it out with air, just to make 100% sure and see what happens.
The PSU could be going out (heat related or not). If it's a stock A1200 PSU, they aren't know their internal fortitude. |

ACA cards have often overheating problems, I had the same with my ACA630. After I removed FDD, which is now redundant and so I increased the internal space, problems dissapeared. I suggest a small cooler fan. _________________

| I just made an ATX PS mod to replace the stock a1200 and I'm still having the issue. After 10-45 minutes of use, workbench won't load or it's garbled. Everything in the 1200 is clean. What are the best cooling options/mods? I thought I saw a fan for the trap door that would work with the ACA, but I can't seem to find it. Any suggestions? |
