When exactly does a game end? In my last game i was quite surprised by the sudden "game over". I figured that the more blocks collide with that barrier the further toward the top it moves and when you shoot blocks it goes lower... but how far can it rise before it is game over?

Its not just about how far it rises.. I had a go at juggling it in the middle by shooting about half the falling blocks to see if I could whore some points up but I died anyway.

Nope, you'll see on the side there is a big number that starts at nine and goes down for each block that hits the beam. When that hits zero, then you're dead. Also note that this resets at the end of each level.

Also, what is the deal with the heads in the lower part of the screen? If you bump into them they make faces but i guess that is not all?

My guess is that IS all.

Actually these two chaps (The Spuch Brothers) play quite an important part in the game. Pushing hard into them prepares them to fire and tapping in the direction of the bloke whose mouth you are in fires you across the screen really really fast, you can stop this by pressing fire where you want to stop. Not only does it break the barriers quicker, it is the only way to repair the pipe should it get broken.

Also, remember that the amount of colour you have slowly empties and can be seen down the bottom, so try and vary your usage so you don't run out of a colour since some blocks can only be destroyed with one colour.

Finally just in case you aren't sure the power ups are activated by pressing down and fire and toggled by pressing just down.

I am sorry I can't be of more help for the moment, my machine died rather nastily a week ago and I'm still trying to get it sorted out (this also means I can't play until I get it back up again)

Power ups are activated? That would probably have been useful to know, like, more than 2 days before the end of the round... Laughing Laughing Laughing

Three days actually Wink

And usually people have been okay without the instructions, I've tried to avoid putting them up as it encourages people to actually learn the game, but I am worried that few people have played. Does anyone else feel that a lack of instructions has hurt them?

Not really, finding out hw to change colour was probably my biggest thing.

I was tempted to try and close the 66 point lead you had but I know I'll never beat that score.

The trick is just to keep playing. The astonishing amounts of crap that flow down the screen can seem impossible to clear but if you just keep plugging away at it you'll find more often that not that you'll finish the level and the bastards will all just vanish!

And on that note I do declare this round to be finished! Congratulations to whatever idiot won this round and condolences to those who were obviously far too busy to play.

Onto the next....
