As well as my Dreamcast, I have an N64 - yet another machine that was poorly supported and cut off in it's prime.

It was actually a toss up between an N64 and a SNES for me - the N64 won simply because it was easier for me to get games.

I love Zelda Laughing . however you can get some really good NES/SNES emulators, but the N64 ones are not as good. I really still dont know. i could go for a Saturn Question .

May I suggest you a PC Engine? (or turbographx 16, as it is called overseas)

I would suggest the N64 for some great 3D platformers (Mario64, Banjo Kazooie & Tooie, Donkey Kong 64), multi-player racing fun (Mario Kart, Diddy Kong Racing) and of course Zelda (one of the greatest games ever Cool !).

The SNES is also very cool. Of course less 3D, but some excellent 2D platformers (Super Mario World, Super Mario Allstars, Yoshi's Story, Donkey Kong Country). Mario Kart is even better than it's N64 successor. Sure, the SNES has a large RPG collection, but the're mainly in the Japanese style. Also, the SNES has the best Streetfighter II conversion Smile

BTW: N64 emulation is excellent with Project64.

That would have been my first reccomendation - However the different models can be quite baffling to a novice and the fairly high prices for games can be a bit off-putting. If you have the cash/paitence, get one - If not, my first advice sticks.. Smile

If you like RPG's like chrono trigger and final fantasy 4 (renamed 2 in US) then I'd recommend a snes, if you like side scrolling beat em ups like streets of rage and golden axe then i'd recommend a genesis

I would go for a Wii and then you can DL classic games from the Nes, Snes, N64, GBC, GB, Sega Genesis(Mega Drive) & Turbo Grafx 16(PC Engine) Not sure how you get them if some are free or you buy them, Check out the link to Nintendo forum and look under Virtual console threads.
