We had a C64 and a C128 in the mid 80's but then my dad bought an A1200 and we had all three for a while before he sold the commodores! Dug my Ammiga out the loft yesterday - forgot how painful it was having to install Street Fighter 2 Turbo - 11 disks with no progress bar!!
But I do now have it running through SCART on a widescreen TV now that is sweet! |

Yeah I can remember dearly wanting an Amiga when I had a C64 (although I did have a SNES aswell) but certain games on the C64 kept me playing the old 8bit dog. Mainly I remember Retrograde, Creatures 1 and 2, Castle Master, Stunt Car Racer (which I had on the Power Play cart) and the Turrican series.
Then along came Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past, SF 2 Turbo and Mario Kart to name a few and my C64 started gathering dust. I advertised the C64 and full collection of games in the local post office and the lot was sold for £150 (wish i hadnt now ). I ended up buying an Amiga 500+ then upgrading a year or so later, when I managed to get myself a job, to an A1200. |
