The rom you linked isnt detected by lemon.
And when i manually try to load it, it gives a memory error.
My a500 kickrom gives a crc warning, and makes a hell of a lot of noise when starting up. But seems to work. Had to manually disk swap though.
I'll get some scores up to start you off in a bit.
LONG time since i played this one, but i guess that goes for most of the games ^_^
Game type, cup.
Each level has 7 races it seems.
first race easy, second race.. i ran out of fuel....
How does one refuel again? |

After the checkpoint there is a pitlane on the right hand side. Marked by a long line of red signs. When signs stop, pitlane begins. Pull up in it. Timing your refuelling can be quite tricky.
Whilst Lemon was down some scores have been posted elsewhere. So they've been updated.
I made a really dumb error on the hard levels so will have another bash before posting my scores. _________________

Timing your refuelling can be quite tricky. | In the last hard race (15/15) I had to refuel after the 5th lap - but after the signs there directly came a long tunnel and there was no pitlane! So I ran out of gas.
Advice: In the last hard race refuel after lap 2, 3 or 4...
Remark: Those future tracks suck - whoever "invented" them should be shot. And there are 3 future tracks on hard difficulty.
Tip: If you use WinUAE, activate JIT - the game will run smooooth (unlike on a real Amiga 500). |

Cheers for the tips.
When I first got the game I thought those levels were very cool looking. Soon realised just how irritating they are. Damn lasers and magnets.
In the hard levels I find the first mountain pass level very funny because one stage is nothing but a very long right hand bend. bizarre. There are a couple of very fun tracks in hard though. I like the marsh one best. _________________

The hard level is proving very variable. I did have a better go (was 6 points ahead) but when I got to the mountain pass it kind of hypnotized me and I simply forgot to get fuel and ran out. Doh! That was my dumb error. Still, I've scraped this together.
Easy = 140
Medium = 200
Hard = 260
140 + 200 + 260 = 600 _________________

| If more than 1 person has an identical score, perhaps you should also do a timed race, and determine their position among the 2 of them based on that. |

Damn - this really seems to be your game, Biscuit! Unbelievable - you've won the first 13 races. I never won the 4th race (wind). Since the 14th race is easy you have 280 points for sure. Then all depends on the final race. But I think it's impossible to win that one.
I predict you'll have ~630 out of 640 possible points in the end. |

The 4th race is impossible to win, isn't it? I've tried it a couple of times and always in the 3rd part of the track my speed drops to about 175km/h. Since it's a short race I really wonder how anyone should be able to win this race?
I guess I misunderstood Biscuit and he actually finished the 15 races when he scored those 260 points. |

Best I've managed in race 4 is 2nd, but that was as a practice using the code. The only other race I can't win is 10 on the motorway. Got 2nd again. However - when playing them all together I have trouble winning them all. So the max I could theoretically get is 290, but I'm not consistent enough yet. _________________

On tuesday I managed to finish 5th in the 4th race and to win the 10th race. But then I ran out of gas on the 11th track and it was game over...
4th race is unbeatable, 10th is very challenging, but beatable. |

Game seems to be easier than it was earlier. Might be because I didn't set it to "Match A500 Speed" tonight. Not sure. Will tackle Hard later...
Easy=140
Medium=200
Total=340

peace!
Lemon's doing the business this round (despite the unstable site hosting). All the medals. If only I hadn't messed up that hard race. Looks like Simon may take the lead. _________________

Should have answered this sooner. It's being considered. Good idea, but we might not need (or bother with) tiebreakers. _________________
