I've downloaded the Action Replay Roms from Back2Roots but it freezes when I press the 'pageup' key (which triggers Action Replay)

Does anyone know how to use it?

BTW, the manual can be found here:
http://atomnet.co.uk/amiga/manuals/Action%20Replay%20III.pdf

Nope can't get it to work. The screen remains black (lock-up). I'll try again later.

With 68000 CPU too.

Bippy. up to 2 megs is OK with AR if I remember correctly - however this should be slow ram.

When you reset the amiga do you see the ARIII logo ?

Awesome.

I just successfully scanned the mem for samples for Exile, not able to save yet though. Will figure it out.
One problem, how do you exit and return to the game?

Btw, I can't find that WinUAE Modripper Func Bippy.
-

From another forum about Exile:

Just for anyone who wants to know and has a action replay cartridge or ar3.rom in winuae if u freeze the game and type
d 19b7c

you will see a lins of code with a #600 value if u assemble this line again but change 600 to any value between 000 - c00 giong up in tens ie 000 010 020 030 040 050 060 070 080 090 0a0 0b0...

you can make your gun fire any object in the game which is cool for making energy pods and other stuff

> Nice and dandy, but I can't get this to work (the editing). Someone explain the process pls.

Any links to sites with Action Replay Codes?

I am heavily into the Replay at the minute

So if you get your arse into irc (I'm always on EABS server: irc.abime.net #abime.net)

We can chat and have a mess about with the replay and games Smile

I have just figured out how to get around Novella protections using it, and also how to edit firebutton code etc.. seems a great way to learning asm Smile

P.S. "X" is the command to use to return to game.

Yup, I'm convinced. UAE's WAV output and Mod Ripper functions are great!

It's possible to do anything the Amiga is capable of (and your brain) with these things.

Cheating is not quite as simple (dumbed-down) as console stuff, but this means you can cheat/control everything if you work it out.

Look at the Action Replay help for the TS and T commands.

There is a manual floating around somewhere which gives examples of how to use them - maybe worth speaking to our resident FTP person as I'm sure he has it......

If the manual isn't found I can scan the Version 3 manual if required.. not sure I still have the Version 2 manual - just let me know.
