When trying to to start a game with Lemonade and WinUAE 1.5.3, the WinUAE window shows up as invisible. The systray icon appears and my mouse cursor jumps to where the imaginary WinUAE window would be.

If I move the cursor around, it only goes as far as the size of the invisible window. As usual with WinUAE, clicking the middle mouse button releases the cursor to be moved around the whole Windows desktop again. I can also close WinUAE through the systray icon then.

Basically, there's an imaginary WinUAE window popping up, but it won't display. If I start WinUAE directly without Lemonade, this doesn't happen.

Does anybody else have that problem?

I also seem to have this problem, exactly the same as yours! An invisible window where the game would run.

This is my first serious try with anything Amiga-related and I was about to ask the same thing.

Check out though, guys. It seems to work fullscreen (only problem is in windowed mode).

Man, am I lost here. This Amiga thing sure feels awkward to a simple MS-DOS user like me. Smile

Edit: umm.... well. Somehow it's not even working fullscreen anymore. Don't know what happened.

Edit 2: actually this post has a partial answer: by changing the Start menu shortcut to "run as administrator", the quickstart fullscreen apparently reverts back to working normally. I've still to try it in encyclopedia mode.

Do you run Vista? In that case I'd recommend turning off that darned uac, or what it is called. That made the trick for me.

That is what I do:

First, go to Lemonade.exe properties and set to "run the program as administrator".

Upon launching the game, the winuae window is invisible, press F12.
Will display WinUAE window.
Click Restart button then Start. Game will load as usual.

Hope this helps!
