What about the gambling after level completed? Is it allowed?

That was a useless effort. Lost most of lives on the last part of world 1. Mind you, I did get 2 level codes when I gambled, which was kind of nice. Graham wasn't happy, but I was.

Died in level 5-4 (the last one?). This game is HUGE. I will only be able to play this at weekends due to its immense size.

Thanks for the explanation. Yes, apart from the very first couple of screens I've never played this before. Seems to be the best Team17-game I know of, so far.

Anyone got any hints or tips? Is gambling worth it?

Yes, gambling is worth it but it's better to do it later on in the game - you get extra lives every 200,000 points so take the points to start with but when you start to get a better score, gamble and try and get the double score bonus.
