Cheers mihcael, late night for me last night. Or should I say early hours of the morning? Confused

This should be a really fun round. And looking back, 20 people in the last round, and the champ table has a good spread of points and medals. Well done to Parpala for keeping the lead. Thumbs Up League has got off to a great start.

Graham has reminded us that in Deluxe Galaga there is a power up for auto-fire, so do not use auto-fire on your joysticks or gamepads. Not intended by the game designers, so not allowed.

I think the plasma is better personally. The other weapons above it aren't noticeably better considering how expensive they are; I tend to go for the plasma and spend my other credits on extra armour.

By the way welcome to the compo Shawn.

Can't you just hold down the left mouse button while the game is loading to bring up the prefs screen like you can on the "normal" version?

Thanks - that worked. Didn't matter though, as the settings were already like the ones suggested.

Hi. First time I've posted a score to one of these. The one in 2nd place is my highest score from when I used to play years ago. I think I used continues on that one though, and hell, I managed to beat it without today Smile...

It appears as if you have used your continues in this screenshot? see the C0 in top right of screenshot.

Continues are not allowed in the competition so please try again without using them! Smile

Ah, Deluxe Galaga. A wonderful little game that should've been voted in last year. Still, it's here this year, so that'll do.
Anyway, after that little intro, you are probably wondering how well I did. Well, I got a score of zero because I haven't played it yet. I'll makes sure I have a couple of free days before having a go, otherwise I might find myself not going to uni/work. I have, however, had a go (or 5) at Super Obliteration. I have forgotten what a great game it is, and, well, I didn't do too badly at it either.

75650

It's just that stupid level 8 with those things flying on the bottom of the screen. I know how to avoid them, but doing that and shooting the asteroids at the same time is a bit tougher. I'll definately give it another go tomorrow though.
DG? Maybe Wednesday.
