There are probably many users like myself, for whom Amiga is there primary interest but are interested in other forms of Emuation and Retro gaming.

I think it would be a great addittion to the site to have a 'General Emulation and Retro Gaming' topic under 'Off Topic'. Here users could share news about new emu releases, best config setups for mame, fav SNES RPG etc.

I know that:

1. This site is called 'Lemon Amiga' and is a site about Amigas
2. There are lots of sites dedicated to MAME, etc

but I think it would be benefitial to board memebers and would not dilute the Amiga0centricity (made this word up) of the site.

I have spoken to Kim and it is something that he may considor in the future, but I guess it depends on what the rest of you guys (and girls?) wnat.

Those people voting "no bloody way" - are you going to dis me if I post a message in Off-topic telling how much nicer my SVI738 looks after I cleaned it up? There are already topics about C64, Atari 2600 & Xbox - would it really hurt if those topics were separated from "Liberace vs. Quentin Crisp" crap? ( but it's classy crap, Fred! Wink )

Yes I would. There are no decent forums for SNES or N64 gaming anywhere. Something tucked away on Lemon Amiga would be great.

I don't know if theres a point in serperating Chit Chat and Retro Gaming, as we can talk about Retro Gaming in Chit Chat.

Me neither. Only 3 posts had to be moved from Chit Chat to Retrogaming, so I'm not sure at all if there's a need for it.

Anyway, it can always be merged into Chit Chat later on if it fails.

I voted "no bloody way" and I'm not going to dis you, but I prefer to talk emu on my second home: Total-emu. There's even a retro style arcade section there Smile

Try this one then:

http://retropolis.proboards40.com/index.cgi

Here you can discuss ALL retro tech toys. From calculators to early handhelds. Pocket TVs to obscure computers. Sega to Nintendo. Commodore to Sinclair. Atari, Amiga, Coleco Vision, LCD games, Desktop arcade, Arcade machines, etc, etc

You can discuss it all at Retro Land

(Wallace walks off slightly embarrassed by his "subtle" rendition of a plug of his site. He is ashamed.....very ashamed.......he runs blindly and disoriented by the shame he feels. Wallace picks up speed and runs towards the road. He stops and laughs, thus revealing that his shame was a mere facade. "You fools....I just got free advertising space", he exclaims, before being run over by a truck headed for pensylvania)

I'll get me coat. Embarassed

Have you actually played any other systems with an open mind? Its not like 1986 where people could only afford one computer! Try downloading an emulator for a system that you haven't used before and some rom's/game images - its fun discovering new treasures!
