Mark here from Adelaide Australia. Been an Amiga man since my early teens, and grew up with my Trusty A500 which is still alive and kicking!

I had the good fortune of been given a A1200 a few years back, which i had always dreamed of owning when it was released, but could never afford. It has an expansion board which i have upped the memory, and more recently i purchased a 4gb CF card and adapter... it's still going strong today and gets regular use on my 50" plasma =)

One thing i hope to do is mod the unit to output S-Video for a sharper image... if anyone has any suggestions, i would love to hear!

I have frequented this site for some time now, and finally thought it was time i joined with all you guys as i really do like this site a lot!

OK, will leave it at that for now. Just wanted to say Hi to you all, and thanks for keeping this site going! Its awesome! Oh, and a big shout out to all Aussie Amiga users keeping the Amiga flame burning here! =)

Mark.

It still sounds weird hearing the word gibabyte used with amiga. I remember buying 512k of RAM and it being as big as a slice of toast. 4GB would be like a 35 foot long twinky. Sort of...

Glad you signed up at last.

Gday Mate!

Nice to see another Aussie on the site!!

There is a fella in Australia who makes S-Video adapters that are reported to be pretty darn good!! http://www.amigamaniac.com/ I think he is out of stock atm, but it would be worth sending him an email see where is at anyway!!

Hi Biscuit!

Yeah, it sure is strange hearing GB when talking Amiga... I remember thinking my 20 MB hard drive on my A500 was MASSIVE at the time! hehe! Back then... I hadnt even dreamed of anything like a 4GB CF card! =)

Welcome!

Being local (to him), you might have better luck, but when I checked last week, he wasn't making the S-Video boards anymore. Sold out of his run and no near plans for a new run. Sad Hopefully he'll get some time because there is interest.

Wish I'd kept my Amigas, as you did, but oh well.

Glad you're here!

Hmmm, oh wells, its worth a try. I just emailed him to find out, so maybe if he has enough interest he might do a few. Fingers crossed because i really want one!!

I only kept my original A500... it was a christmas present, and really the only amiga i got... the A1200 was donated to me by a family friend that had got their use out of it, so really i am just extremely lucky!!

Good to see you here to! thanks!

Welcome aboard.

This is the bit where I encourage new members to check out the fab and great Super League, which is lots of fun and very competitive, and which has consistently attracted lots of players, but not this time. No way. I won't do it. Definitely, absolutely not. Nope.
