MISC: weird request...

I wonder if anyone could help me with a VERY odd request...

I'm trying to track down a scan of a computer game magazine review from early 1990. It was a review of 'weird dreams', released on Amiga and C64 (I'm pretty sure it was a review of the amiga version, but it may have appeared in either an amiga or c64 mag). I'm after a specific review, but I'm not sure which magazine it was in. I don't think it was zzap, as I've checked that one out (issue 60), unless what I'm looking for was a preview in an earlier issue.

The specific review I'm looking for had a screen shot from the game, with a tagline of "Slap down that nasty critter with your trusty Halibut". It’s this specific review I’m after, not just any review of the game. I said it was an odd request...

Now, I know this is an odd request, but if anyone knows the specific magazine, or has some old c64/amiga magazines and wouldn’t mind having a quick look through the early 1990 issues, I’d be grateful for any help you can give me.

Hi - sorry about not replying sooner - seems like the new reply notifier isn't fully working.

Strange requests are welcome (withing reason) will look out for it - doesn't ring any bells though atm.

I am probably wrong, but I think this was in 'The Games Machine' it may even appeared on the front cover??

I deffo remember seeing a review of Weird Dreams in The One....I've still got all my old Amiga magazines in my mum's attic, If I remember the next time I visit, I'll dig 'em out and have a look for you....OK?

Thanks to 'TheChap' and 'Lukeyboy' for responding.

Both The One and The Games Machine are distinct possibilities. I remember my friends and I regurlarly passed those mags around.

I must admit, though, that on reflection The Games Machine really does sound like the most likely of the two. I've had a good shuffle through google, but I can't find any good sites for it. Zzap64, Crash, etc have loads, but The Games Machine is a bit bereft of support out there.

Anyone know of a good Games Machine site? One with scans would be great, but even a listing of which issues carried which reviews would help me narrow it down a bit.

Also, anyone got a copy of Morts Games Machine scans dvd? I know it is out there someplace.
