Canute, I know all this stuff I think that the Axis & Allies is way better game than Risk.
I just love to ramble on every once in while. Well, quite often actually!
Oh yes, Axis & Allies is great! I've owned Shogun, from the same game designers too, since I was a kid. Still in near-mint condition.

Runewars is cool game. You've got 4 races: elves (hate those guys), humans, chaos (a weird looking tribe) and undead army (we are many!), and your goal is to capture 6 runes.
You can recruit armies, heroes, or gather influence, every way is good to get runes.
I was playing Axis & Allies with some new rules (enchanted realism rules), and with this new stuff this game is even more fun!
New Axis & Allies game! This time it's Europe in 1940 and in my opinion it will suck. The french army is bullshit (tanks, artillery, planes, they all looks like Russian units Come on!), why it's blue? In the 2 WW french soldiers weren't using blue uniforms anymore! (I guess american dudes still belevies that russian army wore red uniforms, because of the name "Red Army" )

Ah I remember Talisman, awesome game, also loved playing Hero Quest! Nothing like a game of Cluedo either, kinda partial to Scrabble as well. _________________ Check out my blog RGO below, latest post now up!

Junta is always good for a laugh, if you have a masochistic streak then Escape from Colditz is worth a bash, and Axis and Allies is a classic if you can stand the tedium of setting it up, but you can't beat the complexity-through-simplicity of things like Nine Men's Morris or Kalah. _________________ OldSkool demo development for the win!

I've got a lot of the games mentioned already, but Talisman is definitely one that gets played whenever possible. I've got the 2nd, 3rd and 4th editions of it along with all of the expansions for each of those editions.
I have Hero Quest and some of its expansions (Some expansions never came out in the US). Very cool game. Dungeon Quest is another favorite. Games Workshop used to put out a lot of cool board games back in the day, it's unfortunate that they stopped making them. Oh well, at least Fantasy Flight Games has sort of taken their place now.
On the arranged "game-nights" the plan is always to do tournaments in the latest NHL game for playstation, but ALWAYS ends up in the whole posse playing boardgames like MONOPOLY,TALISMAN,FINANS,NÄR O FJÄRRAN,TP 80's and so on... _________________ Smashing Your Face, Crushing Your Race,
