Does Amiga in a box have good feel to it and is it anything like the real thing?

Just asking - I'm an Amiga newb.

I think it sucks, but that's just my opinion. It's better to use WinUAE and setup a nice WB... or maybe even use some of Bloodwych nice classic WB setups Smile

Or just use the Amiga Forever 6.0 cd. But that ones way too expensive for what you get. But as an addictive person, I got it some time ago.

I don't like AIAB. It comes with a lot of buggy utilities/patches and I'd rather install Workbench from scratch or get Amiga Forever.

All what I need is nice interface to start whdload games. So I don't worry about the rest.

I installed my own WB3.1, with picasso, new icons etc. and it looks nice, but still missing some stuff that's already made in AIAB or AF.

I could not figure out how to sort folders by name in HD. Confused

I like it, it is great for beginners and people who just want a platform to run HD installed games.

Die-hard Amiga fans, though, may prefer othe freeware platforms, like the above mentioned Bloodwych's Classic WB and AmygaSYS (my personal favorite). Sorry, but can't provide links right now. Use google instead.

I got Amygasys and it looks great, but when I install a 3.1 on it, it jams. Crying or Very sad

I will try it with other ones. But it does look cool.

BTW, if anyone wants Amiga Forever 6 - track down a copy of the latest issue of Retro Gamer, there's a limited version on the CD.
