Too right.
I had a soft spot for 'The Killing Game Show' too, although I didn't ever get past level 3.2 which thinking about it isn't very far, is it? _________________ 'So, you want to be a pirate? Well you've picked the right place to start.

It would have to be the Beast games. Their playability wasn't the best...but they were masterpieces, nonetheless. _________________ -=Into the Wonderful=- |

| Leander was an awesom game, and had some of the best graphics on the systm. My favorate was Hired Guns - What ever happened to the mooted PC remake using the Unreal engine? |

| The first 2 Lemmings games, Blood Money, Bob's Bad Day, Killing Game Show and Nitro come to mind, but I don't rate many of their games very highly - mostly style over substance. |

I thought the Beast games were all graphics and no gameplay, goes to show how different styles appeal to different players.
1. Hired Guns (one of the best games on the platform)
2. Blood Money (if only for the opening vocals)
3. Capt. Fizz (an oddly playable 2 up game imho, graphics were awful)

| Blood Money was the first game I actually brought myself out of my pocket money, I was blown away by the intro and vocals, and that game alone convinced a family friend to buy an Amiga (after he saw the title picture!!) |

| This is hard to choose just one. Shadow of the Beast, Menace and Blood Money, and a little game I recall playing a lot of - Obliterator. The original Lemmings had me hooked for months too, so there you go, that's five! |

Psygnosis did a great service to the Amiga when it first started out. Barbarian's graphics made everyone sit up and take notice.
They made some great games, but unfortunately, they will be rememberd for some of the WORST ( and I really do mean worst ) games ever released on an Amiga - these seemed to be all of their final releases.
I'm thinking:
Cliffhanger
Last Action Hero
Dracula
What the hell happened to them during this period? I think they could'nt give a sh*t and were concentrating on the colsole market. Shame really as it sort of soured the memory of their great games _________________ Fave Amiga Games:

I asked the same question in my blog .... http://dataleak.corewatch.net/index.php?itemid=26
The preview looked quite delicious but it seems that they canceled the development when the Psygnosis American branch closed down.
Hired Guns was my favorite Psygnosis game too! Loved the atmosphere of that game, the ambient soundscapes and the story behind it. It was possible to play this game with four players at one computer but have never tried it even with two players. Imagine 4 ppl fiddling at the same time on the same keyboard! What a chaos! |

What, really? Seeing Barbarian made me think there was no point ever upgrading from my c64. It was only when I saw/heard the intro from Blood Money that I thought there was something in this 16 bit lark... _________________ 'So, you want to be a pirate? Well you've picked the right place to start.

No, honest - it really did!
Barbarian for it's time remember had some really great colours in the graphics. The final screen was pretty breathtaking - looking at an exploding mountain.
I quote CU on their " Final Fronteirs " booklet that was free on an issue in 1988
" Arguably the most stunning final screen ever dreamt up by a programmer "
Looks pretty cack then, but 16-17 years ago, it looked the dogs. _________________ Fave Amiga Games:
