Hello all,

A LONG time ago I worked on the games Darkmere, Cybernoid II, Rubion, and Stormlord for the Amiga as an artist/designer. Now, I find that I'm in need of the graphics sets for all these games as I need them to demonstrate my sprite work for ll the cell phone game companies that want me to work for them. (hopefully) Smile

Now, my Amiga is in the UK, I'm in the US with a PC. What is the best way to rip the graphics from these games?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Over at the English Amiga Board there's a sprite ripping project:

http://eab.abime.net/forumdisplay.php?f=64

They should be able to help you retrieve your graphics.

Some examples:
Creatures
Alcatraz
Alien Breed SE
Ruff 'n' Tumble

I've started a thread about it: Graphics For Mark Jones

I am more than happy to help you rip the gfx yourself if you want

I simply don't have the time atm.. to rip them myself Smile

It's a straight forward process just a little tiring and repetetive if the GFX are at odd offsets :/

I'm willing to give it a try, could I use one of the "emulated" copies. ANd if so, what do I use to rip?

Mark.

okay you'll need the ADF's of your games.. you can get them from Planetemu.net Smile

Next you'll need the GFX ripper

http://retrospec.sgn.net/game-overview.php?link=gfxrip

Get it from there

now get winuae and set it up.. start your game (on the level with the gfx you want) and press F12

Goto the misc tab and press SAVE STATE change the type to uncompressed and save it

Start the gfx ripper and load the saved state

Read the GFX ripper instructions or goto the EAB forum for more help

http://eab.abime.net/forumdisplay.php?f=64

there is loads of info there

I am going to work soon, so I cannot do anymore tonight.. Tomorrow daytime 12pm (GMT) I'll be on the abime.net (eab) irc server if you wanna chat and go through it step by step Very Happy

Is there still a contact for Mark Jones? I tried to e-mail him, but there's a Mailer Delivery recipient rejection for some domains, blah, blah...
