Wow, its been a long time since I've been in this forum. So long in fact I seem to have forgotten my password and can't sign in with my usual username (Robert Gardiner) as I no longer have access to the email address I signed up with lol.
I apologise for going "off-grid" and not being around to provide Lemonade updates and help for the application. I'm very disappointed the development never got past beta stage, I sorta burnt myself out after writing the first version and needed to take time out to sort out other commitments and work too. But, as life goes on you learn from your mistakes and try to right the things you got wrong before.
I've got the Amiga bug back and recently booted up Lemonade to play some Superfrog and Lemmings. It made me think about the development of Lemonade and how much fun it was to work on with Kim - even though VB6 is a right pain and I shudder just thinking of using it these days lol.
Quick question though, just out of curiosity. Do you guys still use Lemonade on a regular basis? Or have you moved on to one of the other frontends (e.g. Gamebase Amiga, etc).
What did you like and dislike about it? Was there anything (besides the lack of updates) which frustrated you about it?
Cheers. |

Hello Robert. Maybe you remember I worked a lot as a beta tester. I am also in the credits if I remember well If you want, I think we could re-arrange your original account here to allow you to log regularly to Lemonamiga as you were always valued member. _________________

This has already been arranged as of 1030 EST +/-. _________________ Please refer all site and database related matters directly to me - incl. missing games, links, screenshots and suggestions. |

I would also suggest that the actual question here should be more along the lines of "WOULD be interested in using an updated version of Lemonade?", some people may have stopped using it because it's no longer supported at development level or have had bad experience using it on Vista OS or higher.
So the current question may deter you from the potential 0.9.9 release that we spoke of earlier, needlessly
The poll on the News page seems to indicate an interest _________________ Please refer all site and database related matters directly to me - incl. missing games, links, screenshots and suggestions. |

Hi Predseda, yep I remember you well You were a big help in the testing of Lemonade and gave a lot of bug reports. EvilCensor helped me get back into my account earlier but thank you anyway
EvilCensor: Agreed, I've changed the poll to the question you suggested.
For everyone else, the reason I'm asking this question is I still have the source code for version 0.9.9. Providing I can get it all to compile and it doesn't fall down at the first hurdle (which it is at the moment because I still need to find some of the custom components which were used in development, but I'm working on it) I'm more than happy for you guys to have it
From what I remember it was in a fairly complete state, but we never got it to testing stage. If released, the update requires you to re-scan all of your games because of the new database structure. This would also be the last version of Lemonade (as it stands) as I'm developing a new frontend which might replace it.
If you're ok with the above, and would like to see 0.9.9 released (providing I can get it all working) please vote above |

Ill be honest I voted no, I would definitely promote and use an updated version though, I know Lemonade is pretty much obsolete, an update would be brilliant news _________________ Never trust a man with a mustache...

Eagle eyed wife spotted that the thread title hadn't updated since the poll question changed.
Do you still use Lemonade?
became;
Would you be interested in an updated version of Lemonade?
So I think this time, "No" really did mean "Yes"? (shut up Jams). _________________ Please refer all site and database related matters directly to me - incl. missing games, links, screenshots and suggestions. |

With Lemonade's lack of updates and a plethora of other choices out there i stopped using it and now use Amikit with KillerGorilla's WHDLoad packs.
The lack of updates to Killer Gorilla's packs and the fact many games i love don't have WHDLoad versions (ie. Bubble Ghost, Footman, etc...) has me looking for an alternative.
I welcome the competition an updated Lemonade package would provide. _________________ Don't be waylaid by the empty rhetoric of the uninformed. |

I still use Lemonade. I have a Macbook Pro with Windows XP on Bootcamp. I canīt use the latest release of Winuae with it, but after trying Amiga Forever, which I dislike because of itīs buggy file system, I just downloaded Winuae 1.0 and booted up Lemonade again. Works like a charm. Of course it would be awesome to see Lemonade updated. Things Iīd like to see included:
* An easy way to set up a hard disk.
* Support for Mac (unlikely I guess)
* I guess thatīs it. Lemonade is wonderful, but needs support for newer Winuae and Windows versions.
If you need support in cash to do this, you should consider Kickstarter.com _________________ "You can have your Playstation, X-Box or whatever. I want my Amiga 500." |

It's been a long time hasn't it?
For Lemonade, it would be cool if the database could support the game releases made by the Software Preservation Society.
And Robert, if you think VB6 is giving you an headache, how about porting Lemonade to something easier to program like Qt, C++ or Phoenix? _________________ Lemonade = Best. Amiga. Frontend. Ever. |

Yes, I still use Lemonade, and yes, yes, YES! A new version of Lemonade would be outrageously excellent.
Nice to see you back here, Mr. Gardiner. _________________ I'm selling these fine leather jackets. |

I still use Lemonade too. Currently have 1868 games set as playable on it & I find it a necessary companion to WHDload & my Amiga emulation.
Would love to see an updated version though! _________________
