I have a strange question: Which Amiga games take place underwater? There are only a few which are familiar to me (in no alphapetic order):
1. 'X-Out'
2. 'Aquanaut'
3. ''Hammerfist' (well, at least the third level)
4. 'Blood Money' (second planet)
5. 'Turrican II' (world 2-1)
6. 'Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis'
7. 'Monkey Island 2' (the salvage of the monkey figurehead)
8. 'The Secret of Monkey Island' (the 'ten minutes under the water' sequence)
9. 'Turrican' (the fight against the huge piranha)
10. 'Zak McKracken' (controlling the dolphin with the blue crystal at the Bermuda triangle)
Well, that's all I remember, but I'm sure there are a lot more... _________________ 'The worst part is, I'm getting to be as bad as they are. You wouldn't believe some of the ways I've learned to kill. I hang out in sewers, and my best friend is a MAC 17 submachine gun...' |

| Wasn't James pond underwater? Traps n treasures had some underwater parts to it. Brian the lion has an underwater level, thunder jaws also has an underwater section. Can't think of any more off the top of my head. |

I seem to remember an underwater level in Arabian Nights. _________________ "The virus of hate infects the ignorant mind" - Biohazard |

All that I can think of at the moment:
Disposable Hero has one; it's one of my favorites in the game, actually. Project-X also has one, and there are a few underwater bits in Apidya as well.
Bubble and Squeak and Flood have water in every level as a timer.
Elfmania has a stage with knee-deep water.
Harlequin lets you go underwater, but you have to be a fish if you want to survive.
Mr. Nutz has lots of water; some levels are submerged, and some let you change the depth.
Pinkie lets you go underwater in a few levels.
There's a fair amount of water in Ruff 'n' Tumble's cave levels.
Traps 'n' Treasures is composed entirely of water levels. _________________ The most depressing thing in the world. |

Red Storm Rising was my favourite sub sim. In fact, when grafs were limited back in the late 80s early 90s sub sims made a lot of sense. RSR really had you biting your nails too.
And yes, James Pond was indeed under the water....and a good game too, definitely worth rechecking out, I was playing it last night. Robocod is easily a better out and out platformer but James Pond is graphically better and can be infuriatingly addictive.
Wasn't there a Miggy version of Echo the Dolphin....or did I imagine that? |

Do not forget the brilliantly underrated Treasure Trap where you play a deep sea diver. If you loved the old Ultimate isometric games on the C64 you will love this. _________________ Fave Amiga Games:

| I can only add the third stage from The Spy Who Loved Me. I guess Microcosm is stretching it a bit. |
